So after getting defeated by a girl…. Still you think that girls are born losers? ” and her words stuck to his mind…. Some flashes of past went through his mind and he got shaken up….,” you…. ” just a single word made a way from his mouth. He was looking at her constantly.
Flashback
Anika was getting ready…… Gauri comes.” so excited? … Finally you are going to get engaged” she asked. ” actually I m nervous…. I mean I have never met him…. Mom and dad fixed this relation so I agreed to them. But still I want to talk to him once… Whether he is happy to come in this realationship or not? ” she spoke with concern. ” hey anika…. Don’t take so much tension…. Shivay is a nice boy…. He is from a Gud family and I have even heard that he is football player also. I think even he would like to meet you but didn’t get chance”. Gauri said. ” are you sure?” she questioned. ” off course…. OK wait let me go outside… He is sitting with his family and I will try to talk to him.” she goes outside. Anika was not able to stop thinking so she decided to follow Gauri. She reached to the hall when her mother stopped her. ” anika Beta where are you going? Come on go back to your room”. She moves back to her room disappointed. At last she gets an idea and she puts on a veil on her face and goes outside. Everybody was running here and there…… She was trying to find shivay but wasn’t able to find him anywhere. She came out of the house and found him talking to his parents. She hide herself as his family was there and she wanted to talk to him alone so that he don’t feel any hesitance to tell his feelings to her but what she heard made her shocked. Shivay was hell angry and frustrated. He started shouting.
Shivay : I won’t do this engagement and it’s my last decision….. How can you fix my relation with any random girl.
Shivay’s mother : shivay listen anika is a very nice girl. She is educated and will take care of you for your whole life.
Shivay : Ohhh so now she would take care of me…. I can’t believe it… Mom I don’t even know her…. Who is she? What is her identity? Will she be able to adjust herself with my lifestyle….. Just look at me mom I am shivay Singh oberoi and she is an orphan….
Shivay’s mother : shivay….. She shouts.
Shivay: no need of shouting mom…. And what wrong I said…. she is an orphan and we all know kapoor uncle just had sympathy with her so he took her home.
Shivay’s mother : so you have problem with anika being an orphan?
Shivay: no mom…. I have problem with that girl…. I want partner who is just like me…. Who have an identity…. Who can match me everywhere….. Who can compete me….
Shivay’s mother : Ohhh so without even meeting her how can you tell that she doesn’t have all these qualities.
Shivay: leave it mom…. I know it very well. Actually I m sure because the girl who just said yes to a relationship where we didn’t even meet…. This is 21st century people do love marriages…. Even i want to have a love marriage…. I just can’t waste my life with a loser girl….
Shivay’s mother : you have gone mad! I never expected that you would disrespect a girl like this….. You don’t even know her.
Shivay: that’s the problem I don’t know her…. And the thing is I don’t even want to…. I m going inside now and will break this engagement. He leaves.
Here anika heard all these conversations….. She was hurt. She had never expected that she will be rejected Like this without even getting a chance to prove herself.
Anika’s pov
Thanks alot Mr. Shivay Singh oberoi… You showed me my right place…. But don’t worry I will not allow someone’s useless ego to destroy my dignity. I will let you know what happens when someone judges you like you are a thing. I m loser right….. Now anika will show you who is the loser. And she runs inside the house.
She comes to her room and writes something.
After sometime
Shivay was trying to get a chance to talk to Anika’s parents. Suddenly he noticed tags everybody was staring him. Anika’s dad came to him and slapped him.
” I was wrong…. I was really wrong to choose you for my daughter. She was life my life and I was going to make her life miserable by getting her married to you and one more thing Mr. Shivay Singh oberoi…. You were going to break this engagement right!” Anika’s father shouts on the top of his voice…… ” huh… Now you don’t have to break it because anika herself rejected you….. Did you understand that? And don’t think I slapped you because you were going to break this engagement… I slapped you because….. Just because of you my daughter get to know that she is an orphan…. ” he speaks and starts crying. Shivay was shocked to the core… He didn’t expect this to happen and now he had understood that anika had listened to all what he said.
” Mr. Oberoi my friend had come to talk to you that whether you are happy with this relationship or not but God knows what you told her that broke her from inside. Thank God that she didn’t tell us what you said to her otherwise we won’t have left of you like that” Gauri shouted on him. Shivay had bowed his head down was listening to all the allegations. ” I want to talk to her once” shivay requested…., ” Ohhh can I ask why? This much insult wasn’t enough?” Gauri again shown anger to him. ” listen I know what I said was wrong but I didn’t know that she was listening to me…. Pls let me meet her I will say sorry to her”…. He requested a lot to Gauri and Anika’s parents.” sorry Mr. Oberoi but just because of you obligations my friend has left all of us….. ” Gauri spoke sobbing……” she has gone somewhere away from all of us… And all thanks to you” she folded her hands and smiled with tears in her eyes. Shivay was feeling guilty for each and every word he uttered from his mouth and he started leaving….. ” stop Mr. Oberoi” Gauri spoke. He turned and Gauri kept a piece of paper in his hand…, ” after what you did I would never ever stopped but what to do…. My friend has asked me for something….. She left two letters and had asked me to give this one to you in the other letter”. Shivay kept the letter and left.
He came back to his house. ” just stop it”…. His mother shouted…..,” mom.. ” shivay called her.” don’t call me mom… I don’t want to be called mom by someone who doesn’t even know to respect a girl’s feelings. Just get out from my house I don’t have any relation with you. ” she cries and leaves. Shivay was not in a state of mind to think what just happened with him and he left his home.
Flashback ends….
” Anika!…. ” shivay uttered her name….,” hmm anika…. What happened? You didn’t answer my question. Do you still feel that I can’t compete you or I can’t adjust myself in your lifestyle? “she asks. ” I m sorry…. I know a sorry can’t hide my mistake but still I want to say it sorry anika” he spoke with guilt. ” no shivay I don’t want your sorry…. Actually I just want to ask you now this random girl can compete your status?” she asks with teary eyed….,” shivay my problem was I never thought that even I need to prove myself in front of anyone so I didn’t prepare for it….. I was always in my own world where everything was beautiful…. I had the most loving parents who never made me feel that even I need to prove my self…… I had my friends who accepted me as I was…. It was all like dream from me… Then you came…. Shivay we girls are emotional fools so as I was. When you came to my life I started dreaming more and more….. I started loving you though we didn’t meet once…. But still I fall for you…. Don’t know why”. She laughs and cries too…., ” trust me shivay I tried my best to know about your feelings but didn’t get a single chance. On our engagement somehow I came to meet you but….” she stopped. ” I want to ask you one thing that I can understand you wanted to marry someone of your choice but who gave you the right to make all those judgements by yourself about me. You could have easily said no to me but why you decided to assume me as a backward, shy and loser girl? “…. Actually it’s alright you showed me a mirror that there were so many faults in me and due to those faults I don’t deserve a partner like you…. I really wished to talk to you that time but I didn’t because I thought that a person who made so many assumptions about me without knowing me properly….. Who knows? What more assumptions he would make after meeting me…. So I decided first I will repair my faults then I will meet you again to know my other faults…. ” she wipes off her tears. Shivay was looking at her and listening to each and every word of her.” as now I also play football…. It means I can compete you…. I am independent now so I can adjust with your lifestyle….. I have an identity also…. Now as I have defeated you so I am no more a loser also….” tears again escape but she speaks…. ” oops sorry there is still a fault…I m still a orphan…. Sorry I can’t do anything of it”…. If there is any other fault…. You can tell me” now she was not able to speak more….. She left the place. Shivay was standing like statue.

How to tell you anika? I m already burning with guilt since three years….. My each and every word which I spoke for you is killing me from that day…. Your letter made me realize that how much perfect you were….you didn’t had any faults…. I had the faults I was idiot who didn’t accept such beautiful happiness….. Such beautiful and perfect partner God had chosen for me but I was the one who didn’t recognize your love. But now I won’t do this mistake…… Life has given me a chance and I will not let it go.
Shivay runs behind anika but doesn’t find her…..
He goes to her coach. ” hey sir may I know where is anika?” shivay asked. ” yes…. Anika? Sorry but I have no idea… She must be at her home”… He said.””Home??…. Can u please give me her address?” shivay requested… ” but who are you? And sorry I can’t tell anyone like that about anika” he said. ” Pls try to understand its very urgent for me to know…. Pls I need to rectify my mistake….” he requested a lot. ” sorry I can’t….” he again denied. ” ok sir I won’t force you I will find her myself thank you” and he started leaving. ” wait she lives with her friend I will give you the address but I don’t think it would work” coach said. ” so what should I do? ” shivay asked. ” hmm…. she is very hurt… Actually she didn’t tell me anything but i felt that there is something wrong with her so before taking any step you need to do something through which you can make her understand yourself “… He said to shivay. Shivay nodded.
After few days……. Anika woke up in the morning and she was still the same. She looks herself in mirror.

Smile anika! Just smile! You got back your self respect…. Smile!… Be happy. I have not even went to play…. I think I should go today, I will feel fresh.
She left and in sometime reached the ground. She came to coach. ” morning coach!!” she wishes. ” Ohh so my player is back…. By the way why you gave me so many holidays you know na that i am so workaholic… Now see I used to make you practice at this time but as you were on holidays I got a new student.” he said and smiled. ” Ohh that’s great coach don’t worry I will do practice with her…. No problem” she said. ” wow that’s great… But anika wait your new friend is not a girl… Hope you won’t mind that!” he asked….. To be continued.
