Praneet Bhat on his frustration and stress of not getting work in the industry

The past year was professionally stressful for many. We have witnessed many shows going off-air and people losing their jobs. Praneet Bhat’s case was no different. In an interview with BT Praneet shares, “It’s frustrating sometimes when it takes months and years to get work in this industry. I deal with the stress because this is the profession I have chosen for myself.”

Praneet is known for his role as Shakuni in Mahabharat, a king in Porus, and Genie in Aladdin. He is confident about his skills and says, “One good thing about me is that I have played various roles, and I believe I can portray any character that comes my way. And this is what drives me, I wanted to be an actor and play different roles and I am getting to do that. However, I have seen stressful times. Right now, I have a cameo in Mere Sai but I don’t have any continuing show in my hand, and I’m just waiting to get something. In such times, I just keep my mind at peace by meditating and working out. I tell myself that don’t worry something will come my way. I want to do a different role that the audience would like,”

Praneet will be seen as a conman in Mere Sai. When asked about his role as Madhusudan, he says, “Being part of this show is a blessing for me. The role I play is of a conman, and I have never played this before. What I’ve learned while being a part of this show is that karma always comes back. Whatever you do, good or bad, you shall reap the same. That’s what I’ve taken from this story.”
