Prashant Rajput who was recently roped in to essay the role of Kashibai’s brother Krushnarao in the show Kashibai Bajirao Ballal is garnering a lot of appreciation for his performance. Prashant is known for his role in popular shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Mere Sai, and Dil Jaise Dhadakne Do amongst others.
During an interview with ETimes TV, the actor talked about his role, his bond with co-stars, and more. He said, ” Every character is challenging but you need to follow a process to get into the character. I did the same for this character as well, read about it, saw a lot of videos on YouTube, even watched Bajirao Mastani. And before this I had done ‘Mere Sai’ so it helped me to do a historical character.”
Talking about staying away from home for work, Prashant shared, “It gets difficult. who doesn’t want to stay at home, but at the same time it’s your work so you have to leave all that behind. I am from Rajasthan so I have a habit of living independently and whenever I miss them I give them a video call and have a good talk.”
He added, “I am enjoying it, especially after lockdown, everyone is supportive here, we all work like a team, be it co-actors, costume, makeup, everyone supports each other which ultimately helps in a better outcome, better scenes which eventually we all want to do at the end of the day.”
When asked about the most interesting part of his character, he replied, “The character has the shades of grey. In front of his sister he is very docile and polite, but deep inside he also wants power, and dominance so in that hunger, he tends to go astray and do unlawful things. So this mixed bag of emotions makes him different, stand out from everyone, and that I enjoy the most. And in fact, I like the look also of this character which you are seeing, bald look with mustache.”
When asked about his bonding with his costars, Prashant said, “Bonding is going really well between us, we are working for the past two months so we kind of have become good friends, especially Riya Sharma and Rohit Chandel, we share everything, discuss scenes, Aishwarya Narkar she is very supportive, experienced so we tend to learn a lot from her. I get along with Nabeel well since we share a common room so we tend to spend a lot of time with each other getting to know each other and he is a fantastic person, great co-actor to work with.”
