Pratiksha Honmukhe, who was recently removed from the television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai alongside Shehzada Dhami, has responded to rumors about their alleged romantic relationship. The actress firmly denied dating her co-star, clarifying that they are simply good friends. This statement comes shortly after she joined the ongoing TV serial Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayye.
In an interview with Times Now/Telly Talk India, Pratiksha emphasized that she and Shehzada are close friends and will remain so. She explained that the dating rumors likely stemmed from the fact that Shehzada was her first friend on the set of her debut show.
Praising her co-star, Pratiksha said, “The way he helped me and was with me led to a bond between us. If you’re too comfortable with a person, naturally a bond forms, but it doesn’t mean that they are together.” She concluded by stating that their relationship is purely friendship.
Reports suggested that Pratiksha and Shehzada were ousted from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai due to unprofessional behavior. Some co-stars claimed that the duo kept to themselves and did not interact with others, and Shehzada allegedly disrespected the crew on set.
Addressing these reports in the same conversation, Pratiksha said, “Jo hua bhagwan dekh rahe haiin ki kaun galat aur kaun sahi hain. So yes, that’s it. I don’t want to say anything about it because ab maine kuch naya start kar diya hai. So aab peeche wapas jakar mujhe wo sab sochna nahi hain. (What has happened, God is watching who is wrong and who is right. So yes, that’s it. I don’t want to say anything about it because now I have started something new. So now I don’t want to go back and think about all that.)”
In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Pratiksha played the parallel lead role of Ruhi, while Shehzada portrayed the male lead, Armaan. Their characters fall in love when their families visit Abhira’s resort in Mussorie. However, with numerous plot twists, Ruhi ends up marrying Armaan’s brother, and Armaan marries Abhira.
The two actors were replaced a few months ago by Rohit Purohit and Garvitta Sadhwani, who have since won over the audience.
