Pratiksha Rai on joining the cast of Titli
Pratiksha Rai, who was last seen in Nath – Zewar Ya Zanjeer in a negative role, has been roped in to essay a pivotal character in Ved Raj’s Titli. The show will also feature Vatsal Sheth, Neha Solanki, and Avinash Mishra in lead roles.
The actress talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “I don’t know much about my track apart from the fact that my character will be introduced as a positive one but will turn negative eventually.”
This is Pratiksha’s fifth show where she will be seen in a negative avatar. Pratiksha hopes to play a positive character someday. She said, “I played a positive character just once and that was in my debut show, Udann. I hope to play one in the future. I agree that one gets a lot of scope for performance while playing a negative character. However, too much of anything can be boring. Negative mein bohot kuchh karne ko hai par kuchh aur bhi karna hai. An artiste always aspires to do something drastically opposite to what she has been doing. I also want to play the lead someday.”
She added, “I am glad to be getting good work. I feel fortunate to have got an opportunity to explore comedy with Apna Time Bhi Aayega. It’s another thing that the character turned negative in the end. I don’t want to feel restricted. The biggest concern is the hatred you are subjected to on social media. I have had people writing nasty comments and abusing me for my portrayal online. Though it does affect me sometimes, I prefer to look at the positive aspect, which is that people find me so convincing that they love to hate me.”
