After a hiatus since the conclusion of the TV show Mithai last year, actor Priom Gujjar is set to grace household screens once again with the upcoming mythological series ‘Karmadhikari Shanidev.’ Priom, who also made a mark in popular web series during his break, expresses his happiness at returning to television and portraying the revered role of Lord Vishnu in the show.
In anticipation of his role as the supreme power, Priom shares, “I’m delighted to play the role of Lord Vishnu, a significant figure in every mythological tale. When offered the role, I was excited and committed to giving it my all. As an actor, such experiences are undoubtedly amazing and these roles educate you profoundly. It will also allow me to connect with audiences of all age groups.”
Addressing the challenges associated with such a powerful role, he adds, “I have previously played mythological roles on TV, so I am comfortable acting in heavy outfits and jewelry. Moreover, I can speak fluent Hindi. For me, the most challenging aspect is the responsibility of connecting with the audience and convincing them to accept me as Vishnu. Many actors have set benchmarks with this role, and setting a new record will be quite challenging. Nevertheless, without stressing too much, I will give my best and relish my journey as Vishnu in the show. As an actor, I always aspired to play a role with so many layers.”
Reflecting on his journey, Priom, who hails from a village in Uttar Pradesh, shares, “It’s been a long and challenging journey filled with rejections and obstacles. Coming from a family of farmers, pursuing acting wasn’t initially supported by my parents who preferred a government job for financial security. However, I persevered, took an acting course in Delhi, and moved to Mumbai in 2017. Today, they are proud of me.” Priom’s earlier contributions include TV shows like Kaleerein, Ishqbaaaz, Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, among others.
