Puja Banerjee shifts focus to Bengali Film projects; Expresses willingness to return to TV for intriguing roles
Puja Banerjee, renowned for her role in the TV show “Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi,” has been absent from the small screen for the past two years. The versatile actress has shifted her attention towards Bengali cinema, currently engrossed in shooting for an upcoming Bengali film in Kolkata.
Reflecting on her career choices in a recent interview, Puja explains, “After ‘Jag Janani,’ I made a brief appearance on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ and then I became engrossed in my web series. Over the past year, my focus has shifted towards Bengali cinema. I’ve secured roles in two films and find myself frequently traveling between Mumbai and Kolkata. My shooting commitments in Kolkata require me to revisit my hometown more often.”
When questioned about the possibility of returning to TV for a fiction show, Puja Banerjee remains open to intriguing opportunities, stating, “If there is something interesting, why not? I would love to participate in a TV show.”
On a personal note, the actress finds joy in motherhood, sharing, “My son Krishiv is now 4 years old and has grown quite mischievous. Both my mother and mother-in-law shower him with affection and pampering. Although I don’t have as much time to spend with him, playing with Krishiv is enjoyable. He keeps me on my toes, constantly running around.”
Puja Banerjee is also an active presence on social media, emphasizing its significance in today’s era. Earlier in an interview, sge shared, “I often encourage my husband, Kunal, to be more active on social media and expand his followers. Ultimately, it’s a combination of hard work and talent, but I do believe that social media plays a vital role now.”
