The Episode starts with Gangoba saying I want Khanderao as the heir, you don’t need to hear anyone and take his test, if you want, then test him as per his age. Malhar thinks. Dhana ji comes and says the tax is waived off for the farmers, you look worried, are you thinking about Khanderao’s test. Malhar says you are right, I want to take his test and make him capable to head Malwa. Malhar asks Dhana ji about his opinion about the test. Gautama scolds Ahilya and asks her to know her duties. Khanderao says I don’t need to give any test.
Malhar asks Dhana ji to say what is his opinion. Dhana ji says great. Gangoba also agrees. Dhana ji thinks I want Khanderao to not pass this test, he can never solve this puzzle. Gautama says your test will happen, no need to teach anything to Ahilya,
Gangoba says Khanderao will be giving the test. Malhar comes to the darbar. Everyone chants his name. Malhar asks Khanderao to see the plate, silk worm, coconut, soil and horse’s shoe ring, there is a gold coin kept with those four things. He says you have to give the four coins to the right person. He takes his test. Khanderao plays the music. He recalls Dwarka’s words. He gets angry. Malhar comes there and asks why is it so dark there. He sees Gautama sitting in the dark. He asks why didn’t anyone light the fire torch here. He goes and burns the fire torch. He comes to her. She gets upset with him and cries. She says Khanderao’s pain doesn’t reach you.
Ahilya says its so silent today, Gautama didn’t come to the temple. Harku says she is worried, its Khanderao’s test tomorrow, we are also worried for him, the prestige and responsibility are on his shoulders. She says if he loses, then it will be a shame for our family, Gautama can’t tolerate this. Malhar says I also worry for my son. She says I m his mum, I feel like someone cheated me, you have cheated your own son. Pandit gets the prasad. Ahilya says I will give it to everyone. Harku says don’t go to Gautama’s room, she doesn’t like to talk to anyone, so we didn’t go anywhere.
Malhar asks am I wrong. Gautama asks do you really want to make Khanderao sit on the throne. Ahilya gives the prasad to everyone. Malhar says I want to see Khanderao getting love and respect from the people. Gautama says you want to see him winning. He says yes. She asks him to say the answers then. He asks what are you saying. Ahilya comes there and hears them talking. She says I won’t be scared of darkness if they are there. Gautama asks Malhar to keep Khanderao’s respect by giving the answer. Ahilya says I will see if Gautama is still upset. Malhar says you are asking me to break the trust, I didn’t expect this from you.
Gautama says I m thinking as a mum, maybe you don’t remember that you are a father as well. He says I have not kept any tough test according to his age. She says you were capable to answer it, you didn’t have any mentor, still you had impressed Bajirao, you have kept this tough test to fail him. He says I know I have a lot of experience, but I had no responsibility, Khanderao will have all the responsibility. Ahilya says I will go back. Gautama says my son is young. Malhar says you wanted me to declare him as heirship, he has to face this test, I can’t compromise on this, Khanderao has to find the answers himself. He goes. Gautama cries. Ahilya goes to offer prasad and help her. Gautama scolds her and asks her to leave.
