The Episode starts with Gangoba saying I can understand your pain, but not share it. Malhar says Peshwa didn’t help Khanderao, I m sad that I had to write the letter to Khanderao, I m devoted to Peshwa, Khanderao will misunderstand me again. Khanderao gets angry. Ahilya asks him to calm down. He says Malhar has asked me to give up on this battle. She explains him. Gangoba says its good that Ahilya is with Khanderao. Malhar says yes, that’s good. Ahilya says calm down first, have water. Khanderao refuses. She asks him to drink water. He drinks. She says the soldiers are listening to you and they will lose courage. He says let them hear. She asks the guards to go away. He says I can’t lose this battle, I can die in this battle but not give up. Guard hears them. Khanderao says Malhar
Ahilya says we won’t obey Peshwa’s order, we don’t want to disrespect anyone, we will write a letter to them and explain our perception, but… He says but we will not compromise at any cost, this fight will go on till we win. Peshwa gets the letter and says no, Khanderao is going against my command. He tears the letter. Malhar worries. Surajmal sees his alter ego laughing on his defeat. He asks Maan Singh to remove the mirror, its laughing on him. Maan Singh says sure, your alter ego is laughing on you, revive the old Surajmal in you, then the mirror will stop laughing on you. Surajmal swears to not see his face in mirror until he kills Khanderao. Maan Singh says Peshwa has ordered Khanderao to take the army back to Malwa. Surajmal says he can’t go, if he goes, I will go to Malwa and kill him. Gunu ji comes with his guard. He says you won’t need to go to Malwa, Khanderao refused to obey Peshwa’s order, he isn’t going back, he is planning to attack now, my spies are everywhere. He sends the guard. Surajmal asks did you come to threaten me. Gunu ji says no, I came to alert you. Maan Singh says we have to prepare to fight Khanderao. Gunu ji says we can defeat him without weapons also. Surajmal asks what’s your plan. Khanderao tells his plan to Tukoji and Ahilya.
Gunu ji says don’t think you are safe in the fort. Surajmal says you stop taunting me now, you know no one can enter this fort. Gunu ji asks for how many days did you protect it, when the ration ends, your army will die of hunger, you have to go out, maybe this is Khanderao’s plan. Maan Singh asks how can you be sure. He says yes, we have to execute it at night, our letter would have reached Peshwa, we have to do this before its reply comes. She says I m with you in every situation. Tukoji says me too. They smile.
Peshwa says Khanderao has refused to my command, doesn’t he respect me, don’t I have any value in his eyes. He scolds Malhar. He asks what shall I do to punish Khanderao. Malhar apologizes and says you may punish Khanderao for this, because he has questioned Marathas’ dedication in your eyes, he did a crime by breaking your trust, he should get punished. Khanderao shows the fort model and says we will start digging a tunnel from the temple side. Tukoji asks tunnel? Khanderao nods.
