Naina’s eyes were filled with tears. Karan and Meghna were shocked on hearing her voice from behind suddenly. They were speechless. Meghna turned towards Karan,
Meghna: Karan, I think I should leave.
Karan nods submissively, while Naina still stand there with wet eyes. Meghna leaves. Karan walks towards her. He places his hands on her shoulder. She withers it off and takes two steps back. Karan sees her moving behind. Karan moves towards her and he caresses her face. She tries to move his hands but his hands are so firm that she fails miserably. He notices her struggling and he himself frees her and starts walking backwards. HE turns away.
Karan (to himself): Naina, don’t do this to me. I need you. I love you.
Just as he finishes thinking this he is held with tight grip by someone behind. He tilts his face to see someone behind. He sees Naina hugging him from behind.
Karan: Dar Gaya tha!
Naina: Kyun?
Karan: For a few minutes I thought you will leave me and go.
Naina withdraws from her hug and turns him. She slaps him.
(All this happens in a very comical way – with love and possessiveness but with lovey dovey anger).
Karan: Naina???
Naina: Kya “Naina” haan? How could you even think that way? Karan, my love for you is not that weak. I love you with all my heart.
Karan: Naina, calm down.
Naina: Tumhe meri pyaar par bharosa nahi hai kya?
Karan: Arey, nahi. Not like that.
She starts hitting him on his chest.
Naina: Aaj mujhe bahut bura lag raha hai ki meri pyaar par shak kar rahe ho!
Karan: Shak kahan yaar Naina? I believe you completely. I love you and I know how much you love me.
Karan holds her hand firmly stopping her from hitting him. He hugs her so tightly that she cannot free herself.
Karan: I can never doubt on your love for me. You are a pure soul and your love is also very pure. I know how much you love me!
Naina: How?
Karan: If you didn’t love me truly then you would have fought with me now for not telling you the truth about Kriti.
Naina: How did you know I was not interested in knowing about that?
Karan: That is “my” love for you.
Naina: Haan, mujhe gussa tab aaya jab tumne di se yeh baat mujhe chupana ke liye kaha. I felt so bad. Why did you think I would not understand you Karan?
Karan: Aisi baat nahi hai Naina! I know it is tough for every girl to come to terms with the fact that the person she loves was once madly in love with another girl. I didn’t want to give you pain, because that pain might cause unnecessary problems.
He frees her from the hug.
Naina: Par kabhi bhi iske baad mujhse koi bhi baat mat chupana.
Karan: Promise. Ab jao.
Naina: Okay. You leave too.
Karan: After you.
Naina smiles and leaves. She felt so secure and was impressed with the way Karan was protective about her.
It was already 3.30 in the morning by the time both left. He saw that he had received so many missed calls from Nirmala. HE was tensed and drove the car in high speed and reached his house, HE saw Nirmala waiting and looking for him at the doorstep. As soon as he came into sight there was a relieved look on her face.
Nirmala: Karan, where were you? I was scared.
Karan: Kuch nahi ma, I had to clear a few things.
Nirmala: Kya hua beta?
Karan: MA, I need to talk to you.
Nirmala: Come in first.
They enter the house and go in sit in front of the Puja place.
Nirmala: Now tell me, what is it?
Karan: Ma, I love someone.
Nirmala had a surprised look and she was eager to hear her name.
Karan: I love Naina ma.
Nirmala was very happy on hearing the news.
Nirmala: This is such good news. I am really happy. She is a really good girl. Very sanskari, pure at heart and an innocent but clever too.
Karan: Yes ma, that’s true.
Nirmala: Does she also????…….
Karan: Hum dono ek doosre se pyaar karte hain ma.
Nirmala: Tumne bahut achi baat kahi hai aaj. I am with you. When are you going to tell your dad?
Karan: Bahut jald ma.
Karan is happy that his mother also has no problem with Karan.
HE sleeps on her lap.
He wakes up at 7am and realises that they had dozed off at the same position. He wakes up his mother and they move to their respective rooms. Karan dozes off once again and finally wakes up at 9am. He sees Naina’s morning message and that puts a smile on his face. He felt something fresh and nice about the morning. He felt like a satisfied man.
He quickly got ready ate breakfast and left his house by 10am.
IN THE HOTEL:
Meghna: Cheeku, I hope everything is fine na?
Naina: Haan di, everything is absolutely fine.
Meghna feels really happy on seeing her Cheeku happy.
Sharda: Kya pak raha hai?
Meghna: Kuch nahi mumma.
Sharda: Both of you now listen to me, we had decided to stay here only for two days at first but because of the accident and the engagement preparations our stay got extended.
Meghna: Haan mumma, we know.
Sharda: So we have to leave tomorrow.
Naina and Meghna get sad. Naina couldn’t leave her work unfinished.
Kunal (enters with a smiling face): Par ma, what about our engagement?
Sharda: Kunal!
Sandhya: Haan Shardaji, NK Bhaisaab ne aap ko shagun bijwaya hai.
Kunal: Yeh hai masimaa.
Sandhya: Mein Sandhya.
Kunal: She is a part of our family.
Sandhya: We wanted to finish their engagement before their go back to complete their final semester.
Sharda smiles at her.
Sharda: Aaj? Bahut kam samay hai.
Sandhya: Don’t worry; we have already started the preparations. Please inform your relatives also to come. This is a beautiful function where two families get together as one.
Sharda had already informed their family in Bundi about Meghna’s alliance.
Sharda: Ji bilkul.
Sandhya: Please come at 5pm itself. So that you can see the arrangements and give us your inputs also. Now we will take leave.
She sees Kunal. But he is busy talking with Meghna in sign language. She smiles looking at them.
Sandhya: Looks like I will have to leave alone.
Kunal hears that and feels embarrassed.
Kunal: Masimaa, woh…..
Sandhya: It’s okay but come back soon because you will have to get ready and even Meghna has to.
Kunal thanks her and smiles at her.
After Sandhya leaves,
Naina: Congrats both of you.
She receives a call from Karan.
Kunal (jokingly): Ahem Ahem.
Naina: Jeeju please…..
She gets shy. She picks up the call.
Naina: Hello Karan.
Karan: Naina, are you ready?
Naina: Why, do I have to be?
Karan: Yes, come down fast.
Naina: Are you here?
Karan: Yes!!!
Naina: Okay ,I am coming.
