Meghna is discharged from the hospital in the evening and her family is dropped to the hotel by the brothers.
Naina: Thank you Jeeju and Karan. You both were there with us the entire time and…..
Kunal: Naina, tumne khud mujhe Jeeju bulaya, mein apni patni ka khayal nahi rakhunga toh aur kaun rakhega?
Naina smiles and Sharda feels relieved that her daughter has made the right choice by choosing Kunal as her husband.
Sharda: Sach mein beta, I am very lucky to have got you as my son in law.
Karan: Arey, shaadi abhi baki hai. (He laughs)
They all laugh.
The brothers leave.
IN THE CAR:
Kunal: Karan, Naina se bol diya kya?
Karan: How do you know Bhai?
Kunal: Naina ki shakal bata rahi thi. Teek se tumhe dekh bhi nahi rahi thi. But she loves you.
Karan: I know Bhai.
Kunal: Toh kya plan hai?
Karan: Pata nahi.
Kunal: Don’t worry poore 10 din hai, shaadi ki vaja se ek doosre ko aqsar milna padega. Pat jaayegi ladki.
Karan smiles faintly and goes back to his thinking this time about the accident.
IN THE HOTEL:
After some time,
Sharda goes out to get medicines from the pharmacy. Meghna calls Naina.
Naina: Kya di? Kuch chahiye aapko?
Meghna: Haan, Tumhari kushi.
Naina: Di?
Karan calls Naina. But instead of rejecting the call Naina by mistake puts it in the answering mode.
Karan: Hello Naina???
Meghna: Cheeku, sach bata Karan ne tumhe propose kiya kya?
Karan is shocked. He decides not to cut the call and thus listens to the entire conversation.
Naina: Haan di, But how do you know?
Meghna: Naina, I was observing you both last night, you had grown closer to each other. But today morning, when you came back to the hospital and the entire day after that you were trying to avoid him and I can definitely understand when such a scene occurs.
Karan leaves his house, takes his car and drives to Naina’s hotel again with super speed.
Naina: Di!!! (She starts crying) I said…..
Meghna: No, you would have said no, I know Cheeku.
Naina: You know na di, this could create problems for Karan. If Rohan knows about this he might make extreme decisions.
Meghna: How long will you be scared of him; it’s time you let go.
Naina: Nahi di, meri vaja se agar Kisi ki jaan jayega toh mein apne aapko kabhi maaf nahi kar sakthi di.
Meghna: Cheeku, he is a mentally ill patient. He should be treated.
Naina: Di, you know how many times we tried to send him to the hospital but then every time he finds some way or the other to escape.
Meghna: Iss baar kaise chod diya usne tumhe?
Naina: What do you mean?
Meghna: Matlab, tumhe Jaipur tak aane diya.
Karan reaches the hotel and starts walking to their room.
Naina: vahi toh mujhe bhi samaj mein nahi aa raha hai di.
Meghna: Cheeku, do you love Karan?
Naina: Di….
Meghna: That was a very easy question Cheeku.
Naina: Yeah di I do.
Karan hears that through his mobile and gets delighted; meanwhile he had also reached her room. HE rings the bell.
Naina: Di, I think ma is back. Wait I will come now.
Meghna: Hmmm… go.
Meghna just then notices the on-going call on Naina’s mobile and tries to shout out to Naina.
Naina opens the door to find Karan. Karan holds her hand, takes her inside the room, closes the door slightly and hugs her, giving her a cute kiss on her forehead and caresses her face. A shocked Naina is speechless.
Meghna: Cheeku, your phone was on an ongoing call with Karan when we were speaking and – ……
Meghna sees Karan and stops saying, she understands the entire situation. She leaves the room.
Karan: Naina, agar tum bhi mujhse pyaar karte ho toh phir jab Maine tumhe propose kiya tumne mana kyun kiya? And who is this Rohan?
Naina: Karan I am so sorry. (She started crying)Actually,
Just then Sharda enters.
She is completely clueless about what was happening. She was surprised to see Karan there. Naina was also crying.
Sharda: Karan beta, you here? And Cheeku why are you crying? IS everything fine? Is Meghna fine? Arey Bhagwan phir se kuch…..
Meghna enters the scene and interrupts Sharda.
Meghna: Mumma mein teek hoon. Baat kuch aur hai.
She explains to Sharda about all that had happened.
Sharda turns to Naina,
Sharda: Rohan kaun hai Cheeku? And if he was troubling you so much why didn’t you ever mention about that to me? What happened? What is the problem Cheeku? Tell me…..
Karan: Haan Naina, batao….
Naina: Woh actually, Rohan mera college mate hai. He was a very intelligent guy. Class topper, bilkul Di ki tarah. But his friends got him addicted to drugs. HE was in love with a girl called Samira, they were deeply in love, but she died in an accident. Tabse voh kuch khoya khoya sa rehta tha. Due to this he used to take more drugs and eventually lost his mental balance. Being his friends we realised it was our duty to bring him back to normalcy. But I got trapped.
Karan: But how?
Naina: Nashe mein usse mujhme Samira dekhne lagi. Every had got tired of trying to make him understand and accept the fact that Samira was no more. But he could not accept it. He kept trying to show his love for Samira to me thinking I was her. One final day he climbed to the college terrace under the influence of drugs and threatened me to accept him and stated that he wanted his Samira back. To save his life every one convinced me to accept him atleast for the time being as his family was planning to relocate to the US as they felt that changing surroundings would probably help.
Sharda: Toh phir? Now what is the problem?
Naina: Mumma woh log kabhi relocate hi nahi kar paaye, as he threatened them that he would kill himself if they tried to separate him and Samira. We tried to take him to the psychologist so many times and get him admitted but every time he used to escape from there holding someone as his captive. He does not leave me alone at all, but this time I am surprised as to how he left me alone.
Karan: Naina, abse tum mere zimmedari ho because I really love you and now I know that you love me too.
Naina: That’s why I want you to leave me Karan.
Karan: Please Naina stop it now” Mujhe chod ke jao” and all. I have loved you truly and I will get you out of this mess. Trust me. Will you?
Naina hesitates.
Sharda: Cheeku, listen to your heart; I can see that you love Karan too. You have to trust him.
Naina: Karan, I trust you.
Just then Naina receives a call.
Caller: Samira……
Naina: Rohan!!!!
