In night after the dinner..
Ragini (white kurti with yellow salwar and dupatta..open hair with side parting) came to her room with a jug of water.. She placed it on the night stand and moved to the window to close it..she held its flaps to close but stopped seeing something.. She saw aditya sitting on a bench in the lawn outside..he was lost in the thoughts.. Some old memory were roaming around in his mind..
[Flashback]
Aditya was in the college lawn sitting on a bench with his friends.. Was looking at someone.. Actually Ragini (pinkish anarkali..fish braid) who was standing and talking to her friends..she was laughing and smiling while aditya was just staring her being mesmerised..
Guy: Yaar.. Aaj to last exam tha.. Aaj ke baad to shayad wo humesha ke liye chali jayegi apne bhai ke saath.. At least tell her that you love her..
Aditya: Aur phir? Phir jaane du usey?
Guy: maybe wo teri baat sun ke jaaye hi naa..
Aditya: Aur maybe wo meri baat sun ke naa jaate hue bhi chali jaaye..
Guy: yaar why you always think like that..
Aditya: Because I'm afraid yaar.. I just want to be her special person..not just a rejected person…
Guy: Haan lekin.. You should atleast convey your feelings to her.. Nahi to kabhi chance nahi milega yaar.. Wo chali jayegi iske baad..
Aditya: (got his eyes teary) I know.. And now.. Main jaane dunga usey… But agar wo mere liye bani hai to wo meri life me wapis aayegi.. Otherwise.. Shayad uske liye koi aur better person bana ho…
Guy: God! I can't believe it.. How could anyone fall this much in love.?
Aditya gave him a sad smile.. And saw ragini going from there..
[Flashback ends]
A tear was trying to escape from aditya's smily eyes full of relief..just then.. Her voice took him back..
Ragini: Aditya?
Aditya came to reality and looked at the source of voice and he saw that beautiful face of ragini but with tears in eyes.. She was sitting by his side.. Aditya was confused…
Aditya: Ragini..?
Ragini: Hum jaante hain aap kya soch rahe hain? (Aditya got shocked for a moment) Aap ye hi soch rahe honge naa ki hum yaha aapke ghar me servant banke kyu kaam kar rahe hain… (Aditya got releaved..then he nodded in yes) actually hum.. Hum apne bhai… Apne bhai ko dhundhne aaye hai yaha..
Aditya: (confused) Bhai…? Sanskaar ko?
Ragini: (tears filled her eyes) haan..
Aditya: Lekin.. Sanskaar ko kyu? Oh god.. Ragini I'm so confused.. M kuchh samajh nahi paa raha..
Ragini: Jab humara last exam tha uske ek do din baad bhai hume yaha wapis le aaye the ye keh ke ki wo hume kisi khaas se milwana chahte hain.. Uss raat unhone hume badi maa ke ghar chhod diya ye keh kar ki wo ae din hume uss special insaan se milwa kar surprise dene wale hain.. Hum bohot khush the lekin phir raat ko bhai ka phone aaya.. (And she told him about the conversation) aur phir unhone bina kuchh kahe sune..phone kaat diya.. Aur phir uss raat se lekar aaj tak humne humari bhai ki awaaz nahi suni..
Her tears rolled down..and aditya was blank..
Aditya: What? sanskaar ne aisa kyu kaha ki.. Kisi maheshwari par bharosa nahi karna?
Ragini: yahi baat to hume bhi samajh nahi aa rahi.. Bhai aksar aapke ghar walo ki tareef kiya karte the.. Lekin humne kabhi socha nahi tha ki wo durga prasad ji jinhone humare baba ke jaane ke baad humare bhai ke sar par haath rakha tha.. Wo durga prasad ji humare bhai ka zikr tak karne se mana kar denge..
Aditya: Matlab?
And ragini told him about all the incidence happened then..
Ragini: Hum ye nahi keh rahe ki aapka parivaar galat hai.. Yaa aap unhe galat samjhe.. Hum bass itna chahte hain ki hume humare bhai wapis mil jaaye.. Hume bass ek baar unka pata chal jaaye.. Aur uske liye humara iss ghar me rehna bohot zaruri hai.. (Joined hands) please.. Kisi ko bhi humari asli pehchaan ke baare me mat bataiyega.. Bohot bharosa karke aapko ye sab baate batai hain humne.. Please..
Aditya: (nodded in no and held her hands down) ye kya kar rahi ho tum ragini.. Main ye to samajh hi gaya tha ki tum kisi majboori me aisa kar rahi ho.. Par wo majboori ye hogi.. Ye main nahi jaanta tha.. Aur tum meri family ki baat kar rahi ho na.. Arey apni family ko to main khud nahi jaanta..
Ragini: (confused) Matlab?
Aditya: main bohot chhota tha jab mujhe lucknow..mere naanke bhej diya gaya tha.. Mera parvarish.. Meri padhayi.. Sab wahi hui hai.. Padhayi poori hone ke baad hi main yaha wapis aane wala tha.. Aur tab tak.. Yaha se meri sirf swara se baat hoti thi.. Aur kuchh waqt se to wo bhi nahi hoti.. Pata nahi kya ho gaya swara ko.. Bohot badal gayi wo.. Uski aankho me dekho to lagta hai jaise kitna kuchh kehna chahti hai.. Puchho to kehti hain kuchh nahi.. Kuchh samajh nahi aa raha mujhe..
Ragini: hume bhi unhe dekh kar kuchh aisa hi lagta hai.. Saara din apne room me band rehti hain.. Baahar aati hain to sirf khaane par.. Aur agar kabhi apni marzi se baahar aa bhi jaati hai to sujata ji zabardasti unhe apne room me bhej deti hain..
Aditya: (a bit shocked) par aisa kyu????
Ragini: Ye to hum nahi jaante.. Yaa shayad humne kabhi jaane ki koshish bhi nahi ki..
Aditya: Its ok.. I understand..
After that they remained silent for a minute then aditya realised something..
Aditya: Ek minute ragini.. Tumne kya bataya? sanskaar ko gayab hue kitna time hua hai..?
Ragini: Do maheene..
Aditya: Aur do hi maheene se hi meri aur swara ki theek se baat nahi hui.. Matlab.. Matlab ho sakta hai ki in dono baato ka aapas me koi connection ho..don't you think ragini..?
Ragini: hume.. Hume kuchh samajh nahi aa raha.. Hume bass humare bhai ko dhundhna hai.. Bass.. Aur uske liye humara iss ghar me rehna bohot zaruri hai.. Please.. Bhool kar bhi humari asli pehchaan ke baare me kisi ko mat bataiyega..
Aditya: Ragini.. You can trust me.. Main kisi se kuchh nahi kahunga.. Infact I'll help you now.. Ab main tumhari help karunga.. (Ragini got some sparkles in her eyes) I'm with you.. I'll always be with you..
Ragini got a smile of relief on her face..
Aditya: Bass ek condition par.. (Ragini's smile got vanished..and he smiled) Tum ro-ogi nahi..
Ragini smiled and nodded in yes.. She wiped her tears smiling a bit and aditya got mesmerised seeing her smiling..but on the otherside someone was fuming in anger seeing them smiling together.. And its Laksh who was standing a distance away from them.. He then made a fist of his hand and went from there.. Then..
Aditya: And don't worry.. Kal main swara se baat karunga..
Ragini: Lekin sujata ji…
Aditya: Haan I know.. I have the solution for that too.. Maine mom aur badi maa ko baat karte hue suna tha ki unhe kal mandir jaana hai..aur kal in the mean time main swara se baat kar lunga..
Ragini nodded in yes then..
Ragini: Accha ab.. Ab hum chalte hain.. Good night..
Aditya got upset that she is going.. He wanted to be with her like that forever..he wanted to stop her.. But..
Aditya: (bitterly smiled) Good night.. Take care..
Ragini then got up and walked from there where as aditya was looking at her.. He wanted her to stop just for on more minute but she was going but then she stopped and turned..aditya who was staring her removed his eyes..
Ragini: Aditya?
Aditya: (looked at her) Haan ragini?
Ragini: (smiled a bit) Thank you..
Aditya: (smiled more) no need..
Ragini then removed her eyes turning back and she went from there while he was looking on at her and a mesmerised smile was on his face… Ragini then came to her room and closed the door latching it.. Then she turned looking up and she got shocked to see laksh who was standing infront of her looking at her with his half raised eyebrows..
Ragini: (grinding teeth) A..aap yaha kya kar rahe hain?
Laksh: (in same tone) Tum baahar kya kar rahi thi?
Ragini: kyu bataye hum aapko? Hum jo marzi kare.. Jaha marzi jaaye.. Aap kaun hote hain humse ye sawaal karne wale?
Laksh got rage in his eyes..he held her arm and pinned her to the door standing close to her and bringing his face very close to her while she was removing him back turning her head closing her eyes..
Laksh: (grinding teeth) Batau tumhe main kaun hota hu tumse ye sawaal karne wala..?
Ragini: (pushing him back) chhodiye hume..
Laksh: (pinned her more tightly) ek baat acche se sunn aur samajh lo ragini..tum meri ho.. Tum sirf meri ho.. Tum par sirf mera haq hai.. (Grinded teeth..holding her face in a hand to make her look at him..while she looked at him with teary red and angry eyes) aaj to tumhe uss aditya ke saath dekh kar bardaasht kar liya maine.. Lekin aaj ke baad maine tumhe uske saath dekha to..you would never get to know ki main kya kar dunga.. Tum meri ho.. Tum bass meri ho…
Ragini pushed him back with all her strength.. He got back looking at her like that..
Ragini: nahi hain hum aapke.. (Grinded teeth) Aur naa hi kabhi honge..samjhe aap?
Laksh: (held her from shoulders closer to himself) Tumhe meri hona hoga ragini.. Tumhe meri hi hona hoga.. I'll make you mine.. Bass tumhe ek baar apne control me le aau.. And then you will see ki laksh maheshwari jo kehta hai wo kar ke bhi dikhata hai.. And I'll get that chance very soon.. You just wait and watch.. You're going to be mine baby.. You're mine only.. Tum bass meri ho.. Bass meri…
He smirked a bit when she was looking at him disgust with tears rolling down from her red angry eyes.. He then left her pushing her a bit having attitude on his face and then he went out opening the door.. Ragini looked on..then she closed the door after him and latched it.. She came to her bed and sat down on it it clutching the bed sheet in anger..And then she burst into tears.. She doesn't know how to handle with the situation.. On one hand she couldn't go from there becuase she had to find her brother..on the other hand she can't stay there because of laksh who could do anything to get her..and who was sounding seriously dangerous now..
Ragini: Nafrat hai hume aapse… (Louder) Nafrat hai hume aapse.. I hate you..I hate you Laksh Maheshwari… I just hate you…
And she cried more..
Next morning..
All the maheshwarians were sitting to have breakfast when Laksh (white shirt blue jeans and black blazer) came downstairs with a straight face.. He came to the table when his eyes were waiting for ragini to come out from the kitchen..on the other hand aditya was keen to focus on swara and her fake smile..but laksh was in his own world after the last night argument he was eagerly waiting to see her.. Then…Ragini (peach coloured anarkali..a fish braid falling ahead on her right shoulder) came out of the kitchen with a casarol in her hand..laksh looked at her..she came to the table and stood on the opposite side of laksh avoiding looking at him but he was staring her only.. A beautiful face having a a slight anger on it.. Then..
Ap: Ragini.. Ye laksh ki plate par serve kar do.. (Looked at laksh smiling) pasand hain isey..
Laksh: Hmm.. Pasand to hai maa.. (Looked at ragini..while his voice became deeper) Bohot pasand hai…
Ragini looked at him a bit.. He smirked when their eyes met and then she removed her eyes again being angry.. She then put the paranthas on his plate while he was staring her.. And was noticing the hair strand that was falling on her left cheek.. Then she looked up..
Ragini: Aur lenge?
Laksh: haan agar dogi to… (He smirked)
Ragini was confused as well as angry.. He chuckled..she removed her eyes then and went in the kitchen..
After the breakfast..
Men were ready to go to the office standing in the main hall..
Dp: Laksh.. Chalo beta..
Laksh: Haan papa.. (Looked upstairs) Bass ye aditya aa jaaye to..
Ram: Lekin hume der bhi to ho rahi hai… Jaa sujata.. Bula ke laa thaare chhore ko..
Sujata: Haaye jijji.. Maahre pairo me to dard ho gaya..
Ram: Yaha se hili bhi naa abhi tak..aur pairo me dard bhi ho gaya..?
Sujata: Naa to kab se kaam kar rahi hu main..
Ap: Offo sujata.. Tum rehne do.. (Calling) Ragini…..
Ragini: (coming out) Ji mam?
Ap: Jaao beta aditya ko uske kamre se bula laao..
Ragini: ok mam..
She was about to move when…
Laksh: ek minute..
Ragini and all looked at him.. He faked a smile..
Laksh: Main bula laata hu usey…
He looked at ragini..ragini realised why he did so..then he stepped up the stairs.. Ragini removed her eyes being irritated..then..
Ap: waise ragini..ye kya mam mam laga kar rakhti ho?
Ragini: Ji?
Ap: (put a hand on her cheek) Maa bol sakti ho tum hume.. (Ragini got stunned for a moment and her eyes got teary) arey? Maa jaise hi to hain hum tumhari.. Agar tumhe problem naa ho to maa hi bolna hume..
Ragini: (tears were finding way to come out) Maa?
Ap smiled widely when her own eyes got teary too.. She slowly carassed her hand on her face just then laksh came downstairs..
Dp: Laksh? Kaha hai aditya..?
Laksh: (took a sigh) Papa wo… Uske sar me dard hai.. Aaj office nahi aa payega..
Ram: Rehne do phir usey.. Aaiye bhai saa hum chalte hain..
Sujata: Hey bhagbaan jijji.. Naa abhi tak theek tha je chhora.. Main abhi dekh aati hu usko..
And she ran upstairs to his room.. Ragini knew that why he made such excuse.. Laksh looked at ragini and was guessing why aditya had made such excuse.. He Grinded teeth and went from there followed by ram and DP.
After sometime..
When males were gone to office.. Ap and sujata were in main hall with pooja's plate in their hands.. Ragini was there..
Ap: Accha beta.. Hum bass thodi der me aa jayenge..mandir jaa rahe hain..
Ragini: ji ma'..
(Interrupted)
Ap: Uh..han?
Ragini: Maa..
Anpurna smiled putting a hand on her head carassing her hair..and she also smiled a bit with tears in eyes..she thought how kind hearted is she and how arrogant her son is.. He is so mannersless..so selfish.. And just then..she heard his voice..
Laksh: Maa?
Ragini looked at the stairs with her big eyes anpurna too.. He was coming downstairs with a smirk.. Trio the ladies were surprised..
Sujata: Naa laks.. Tu atthe ke kar raha hai..?
Laksh: (pulled her cheeks playfully) ek beautiful se chehre ki yaad aa gayi to wapis aa gaya..
He left her looking at ragini a bit..while she removed her eyes avoiding any eyecontact with him..
Sujata: (blushed) Besaram naa ho to..
Laksh chuckled at her..then..
Ap: Waise tum itni jaldi kaise aa gaye laksh..?
Laksh: Wo maa.. Office me zyada kaam nahi tha to maine socha ghar hi aa jata hu.. By the way..aap log kahi jaa rahe ho?
Ap: Haan main aur sujata mandir jaa rahe the.. Chalo phir hum nikalte hain..
Sujata: Aur haan ragni..aditya ko naa cophee de dena tu abhi thodi der me.. Naa sar dard me thoda araam milega chhore ko..
Ragino: Ji.. Theek hai..
Ap: (Looked at ragini) theek hai naa ragini beta.. Dhyaan se rehna..hmm?
Ragini: (faked a smile) Ji maa..
Laksh smiled a bit hearing "maa" for his mother from her mouth..ap then smiled at him and went from there with sujata.. Laksh looked on at them.. Ragini then being a bit nervous to be alone with him moved to go from there and walked towards the kitchen just then..
Laksh: Ragini..?
She stopped and heartbeats started running.. He turned to her smirking and she kept standing like that.. He came to her and wispered in her ears from behind..
Laksh: I want you in my room.. (Ragini's eyes got bigger as she turned back to him looking at him..he chuckled) Arey with coffee.. Aditya ko coffee deni hai naa..to mujhe bhi coffee laa kar dena.. Hmm?
Ragini removed her eyes from him.. And he came more closer to her and wispered..
Laksh: phir uske baad kya karna hai wo main tabhi decide karunga..
Ragini looked at at him and he smirked stepping backwards..
Laksh: (chuckling) Jaldi aana..
And then he went upstairs to his room ragini's angry eyes got tears in them.. Then she removed her eyes taking a sigh and went to the ktichen..
