RAGLAK SS: Life full of happiness (Introduction)
So let’s begin our journey….
Recap: Disinheritance of Ragini from RP’s will and Raglak’s time with family
Raglak were leaving after their talks with the family, Sarla had accompanied them outside
(Sarla) “You are such a stingy. You don’t spend time with us and you don’t even let Ragini spend time with us.”
(Laksh) “Mom! I spend time with you, go shopping and what not at my age! You will have her to yourself when we get married and I go to work. You can spend all the time you want with her when she is free from work. Now, let me have quality moments please. I got other plans. Bye now.”
(Sarla) “Miser!”
(Laksh) “Mom!”
(Sarla) “Have it your way. Go bring the car around.”
(Laksh) “Mom….”
(Sarla) “Go on.” He grumbled and went to pick the car.
(Sarla to Ragini) “Such a possessive boy. I didn’t have a chance to talk to you like I had with Nandini but I am sure you know how Laksh is. I know it may be too much to ask of you, but take care of that boy. Also, make sure he always takes care of you.”
(Ragini’s POV) She smiled at me. She felt insecure as I was. I guess, one can never feel secure unless you trust the other.
(Ragini) “I will.”
(Sarla on hearing Laksh’s car honking) “Ragini, get on in”
(Ragini) “I will get going. See you soon.”
(Sarla) “See you, dear. Take care”
(Ragini’s POV) She waved at us. I turned back to see Laksh’s Papa accompany her inside. They both looked so happy. One day, I wish to look the same along with Laksh. After sitting inside the car,
(Laksh) “What happened?”
(Ragini) “Nothing. You are loved, Laksh.” He looked dissatisfied.
(Laksh) “I know. But, now on, I just need to know that you love me. Nothing else.”
(Ragini) “But, none of your family members are really confident. They tell me, he may not always be there but bear with him.”
Laksh suddenly halted the car on the side of the road.
(Ragini) “What’s wrong? Why did you stop?”
Laksh looked serious all of a sudden.
(Laksh) “I really can’t believe I am saying this but I don’t trust myself. I am mostly like what they say. Sometimes, I may not catch upto what you are feeling. At that time, you need to tell me how you feel. You have to open to me. You need to confront me. Will you?”
(Ragini’s POV) I have never seen him look this serious about even work. He is willing to accept how he is and move forward. I can no longer stay in my cocoon.
(Ragini) “I will. It is going to be hard and difficult to say some things but I will try to say it.”
Laksh hugged Ragini with care and concern.
(Laksh) “You just need to hint it. I will figure out the rest on my own.”
(Ragini’s POV) I understood what he meant. If my nightmares come back, he doesn’t want to push me to voice them. I am lucky to have him. I never wanted someone who understood me but someone who could accept me. I would never find someone like that. I am very lucky. Tears fell.
(Laksh) “Hey, what happened? I didn’t mean for you to cry. Ragini?”
(Ragini) “Nothing, nothing at all.”
(Laksh) “You little fool.”
(Ragini’s POV) He didn’t say anything. After little time, he started the car. We went back to his house by night.
(Laksh) “You are staying here, right?”
(Ragini) “No. I am taking the car and staying at Sanskar’s place. I will be dead if I stay here another night.”
(Laksh) “Do you need to go?” He hugged me from behind as I was packing things.
(Ragini) “Yes. Let me pack Laksh. Anyway, I am not going home for Christmas. I have work. Day after New Year, arrange for a get together with our families. How does June
wedding sound?”
(Laksh) “Do I have to wait till June?”
(Ragini) “Its every girl’s dream to have a June wedding.”
(Laksh) “I am not sure if I can tolerate being away that long from you.”
(Ragini) “Grit it. Wedding preparations will take that long. Mom is eager about it. I need to work my notice period and things.”
Laksh pulled Ragini to face him.
(Laksh) “Have you heard about living the moment? We just got blessing from our family. Feel a bit of happiness.”
(Ragini) “You think I am not happy? I am elated, ecstatic. I just know none of our parents are going to agree to a simple wedding. Seeing how simple Swara’s and Sanskar’s wedding was, it took a lot of time to prepare. Ours is not going to be anywhere that simple. So, start preparations soon. I want to get married as soon as possible.”
(Laksh) “Accepted. Still,” Laksh tugged Ragini to him and swept Ragini to a kiss.
(Ragini) “I never thought that you would be a romantic person.”
(Laksh) “How can I not be when I have such a beautiful woman in my arms?”
(Ragini) “I wonder how long this flattery will go on”
(Laksh) “It will go on as long as I live.”
(Ragini) “I never once dreamed that you would be telling such cheesy lines.”
(Laksh) “Whatever, I am just saying what I think.”
(Ragini) “Well, I have to get going. We will meet this New year.”
(Laksh) “Something is different with you. You seem indifferent.”
(Ragini) “Getting taste of your own medicine, perhaps?”
(Laksh) “Ragini!”
(Ragini) “Bye, bye Laksh.”
(Ragini’s POV) I kissed him again and left with my bag. How much both of us have changed! I guess more than changed, we just accepted to be ourselves.
(Laksh’s POV) The New Year went on without a hitch. Both families got on well. If there were any hard feelings, nothing was shown. As RP stepped out, I followed him.
(Laksh) “When do you plan to tell, Ragini?”
(RP) “Is it that important?”
(Laksh)“Maybe.”
(RP) “The moment I walk her into the Mandap. Will that suit for your answer? In any case, why do you want to know about it? It is not going to make a difference, or will it?”
(Laksh’s POV) I didn’t really know why I wanted to ask him that. Out of nowhere Swara walked in on us.
(Swara to RP) “He is just curious. I was too.”
(Laksh’s POV) What is she doing? Why is she provoking him? I was hoping he would reconcile for Ragini’s sake.
(RP) “You too think that Swara. Do you think she will crumble?”
(Swara) “You are underestimating your daughter. She was someone who made me feel jealous, made the Great Laksh fall on his knees. She is someone who you would choose to make her as your heir but went against you to become a doctor. These two believe in each other. They have been in a relationship for almost three years. Both have come to understand each other better than you could understand her. If you think something as simple as this is going to make her cry, then it is as good as she is not in love with Laksh.”
(RP) “Well, well. It seems you have more confidence in her than him.”
(Swara) “Yes. After all, she is my good friend.”
(RP) “Do whatever you wish. I already gave my permission.”
After RP walked out from that place,
(Laksh to Swra) “You Idiot! What Are You Doing Provoking A Relative! Even if he doesn’t meet Ragini or I, you will still have to see him.”
(Swara) “But RP Uncle will never understand. I don’t think he even understood now. Maybe only when he tells her, he will understand what I meant. Just leave it. RP Uncle won’t take such things to heart.”
(Laksh) “You little trouble maker!” I patted her head roughly.
(Swara) “Hey! Watch it!”
(Laksh) “I am glad to see you back to normal.”
(Swara) “It is meaningless if I am the only one sulking.”
Suddenly, Payal came running out, crying.
(Payal) “Mommy!” She immediately took up that little girl in her arms.
(Swara) “What happened Beta?”
(Payal sobbing) “Daddy…. Carry……”
(Swara) “Yes, yes. We will talk to daddy. We will tell him to carry Payal always.”
Sanskar came running behind her.
(Sanskar) “Payal, stop being stubborn. You are going to become a big sister. Stop saying Mommy to carry you.”
The little girl hugged her tighter. Sanskar pulled Payal away from Swara.
(Laksh) “Wait, did he say big sister? You are pregnant?”
(Laksh’s POV) Swara looked at Sanskar annoyed. He micked that he was apologising and left her to explain, taking Payal down to the garden of the hotel.
(Swara to Laksh) “It is not confirmed yet. But yes. I am pregnant. I have been told to take things easy.”
(Laksh) “That’s great news.”
I carried her easily as she carried Payal.
(Swara) “Hey! Put me down! What is the bad habit of guys always carrying me!”
(Laksh) “Well, its because you are too light. That’s great! Just fantastic! So, which is it?”
(Swara) “I just now told you, its not confirmed. When it is, I will tell you. Lets go back. We can’t have the hero of the party missing.”
(Laksh’s POV) She smiled widely and pulled me in with her. I don’t think I could get happier than this but I know I will. Ragini has given so much to my expressionless life, she will surely make my life full of emotions.
After few days,
(Ragini’s POV) Wedding preparations were full throttle. Laksh kept calling and talking as usual. I finished my notice period, cleared my place and came back home. Mom’s excited. Being in different cities posed a bit of difficulties in coordination but Swara helped us out. Swara’s Bhua designed my wedding gown and she did an awesome job of it. Before we knew it, it was already June.
(RP) Dad knocked the door. “So, are you ready?”
(Ragini) “Yes.” I got up.
(RP) “You look gorgeous. The most beautiful of all my daughters.”
(Uttara) “I will let it go for today, Dad.”
(RP) Thank you, Uttara. Shall we get going?” All of them started out. He took my hand.
(RP) “Ragini, there is one thing I must tell you.”
(Ragini) “Yes dad?”
(RP) “You are being disowned as of today.”
(Ragini’s POV) To hear the words from him, I thought he would be the most cruel person there could be. But I felt calm. Not enraged, not sad, just calm.
(Ragini) “Thank you, dad.”
(Ragini looked t shocked RP and said) “Why that face? Did you think I didn’t know? When you said that you were taking me out of your will, I knew that you never intended for me to come back to the house after marriage. Besides, I really don’t care. I have Laksh by my side and even if he were to leave my side, which is not possible, I won’t regret anything. I am the daughter who you wished would take over the company. I have the confidence I can stand up on my own if alone. So, thank you for having that confidence in me that I can do well without your support.”
(RP) “You have grown. I am proud of you.”
(Ragini’s POV) We walked out and I saw Laksh waiting in the mandap. I am going to be happy, going to make him happy. Surely both of us will fight but we will get through. After all, its not just love that brought together. The pandit had started the vidhi, we had taken are pheras. Laksh had applied sindoor and he made be dawn mangalsootra. I became Mrs.
Ragini Laksh Kapoor. It was a proud moment for me.
After all the celebrations got over at Laksh’s parents house, Laksh and I moved to our house (Laksh’s paradise). I entered the home and felt it different though I had entered the house earlier. Now I came as his MRS.. I was happy on cloud 9. I became the wife of a person whom I loved the most.
After few months of our marriage, Laksh never forced me to consummate the marriage. He waited for me patiently. He loved me, he took care of me, we used to have small fight and I always ran to Swasan’s house, but in an hour I used to be back to our house with Laksh. His embrace made me complete.
After Six months of our marriage, I surprised Laksh. I decorated our room because I knew I was ready to take the relationship to the other level. Laksh did hesitate to accept because he thought that I was being forced but less did he know, I accepted it. I moved on from my past, I never got bad dreams because Laksh was by my side, We consummated our marriage and u felt I was in heaven.
After few months, I fought with Laksh again and ran to Swasan’s home,
(Ragini) “Hi Swara. I am here to visit the twins” I announced as I entered Sanskar’s home.
Sanskar who was coming down the stairs looked displeased.
(Sanskar) “I appreciate you visiting Swara but for heaven’s sake, don’t come here everytime you fight with Laksh!”
(Ragini) “I genuinely came to see her.”
(Sanskar) “How much shall I bet that Laksh will be here to pick you by evening? Wait, since today is a holiday, within an hour?”
(Ragini) “I don’t care. Move aside.” I went up to Swara’s room.
(Ragini to Swara) “Hi Swara. How are you and how are my both sons doing?”
(Swara) “I am good. Finally getting hang of things. Twins can be tiring. They drain out your energy. These two guys are very naughty but Payal and Sanskar are very helpful besides
AP Mom”
I was patting the twins when Payal popped in.
(Payal to Ragini) “Bhua!” She almost jumped on me.
(Swara) “Payal! Don’t!”
(Ragini) “That’s no problem.” I carried Payal up.
(Swara) “She is heavy enough. You shouldn’t be carrying anything when you just got pregnant. What did the doctor say?”
(Ragini) “She said its fine as long as I don’t strain myself. But you know Laksh, he is not letting me do anything.”
(Sanskar) “And I am guessing that is the reason for your fight? What did I say? This is not your hiding spot each time you fight.”
Sanskar turned up at the door standing with Laksh.
(Ragini) “Wrong, Sanskar. It is not a hiding spot if he doesn’t have to search where I am.”
(Laksh) “I have had enough of my share searching for you. Come on. Lets go home.”
(Ragini) “I am not coming. I am staying here.”
(Laksh) “What kind of a woman are you? I am saying you don’t have to do any work and you fight?”
(Ragini) “I am bored.”
(Laksh) “I will find you something to do. Now, you are coming with me.”
(Ragini’s POV) He came over and picked me like a feather.
(Laksh) “Take care, Swara. I will come back with Dadaji. Mom is waiting at home for her.”
(Ragini) “What? When did she come?”
(Laksh) “After you left. Shall we go now?”
(Ragini) “Yes.”
(Sanskar) “And don’t keep coming here for your petty fights.” Sanskar shouted at us.
(Ragini) “We don’t fight that often, do we, Laksh?” I smiled at him.
(Laksh) “No. We don’t.”
(Ragini’s POV) He kissed me sweetly as we were leaving. I couldn’t have found a better match. My stubborn and kind husband.
After 9 months I gave birth to a baby boy. We became one happy family. The entire kapoors shifted to Laksh’s apartment.. we became a one happy bunch.. I still do my practice and i love being pampered by Laksh. This journey of mine with Laksh has been different and nice and i would always thank God for it.
My parents and my siblings and their better halves did come and meet us but occasionally. I would not so that my dad was happy but he felt contended. We met like family friends. But all their love and happiness were covered up by the Kapoors and i loved. I am happy that i did not regret once for the decision i took.
The entire Kapoors were happy. After that we all stayed like a thick bunch.
I am blessed to have such a family and I am glad to have fallen fro Laksh. He still Loves me to eternity. He always loved me like he did before.
So guys bye……………. It was nice writing for you guys…………. Love you guys and will always keep you all in my prayers
