Rajeev Sen opens up on sister Sushmita Sen’s health; says, “She’s absolutely fine”
Rajeev Sen who is all set for his innings as a producer with his short film titled Hasrat talked about it in a recent interview and shared his sister Sushmita’s reaction to it. During the interview, he also gave an update on his sister Sushmita Sen’s health.
Talking about Shushmita Sen’s health, he said, “She’s absolutely fine now with the blessings of God and what happened was quite unfortunate. Health is quite unpredictable and things can happen. But touch wood she’s doing much better now and is back to work.”
He added, “The entire Sen family has been extremely health conscious. We have been fitness freaks – both me and my sister. We eat well. I don’t smoke or drink. I would say I drink once in a blue moon. So I tend to lead a very nice and healthy lifestyle. We have always maintained that over the years.”
“She is mentally very strong and physically as well. You need to be because it is not easy to manage two kids and be an actor at the same time. I did a short film for about 4 days and I had to go through so much and do hard work. And here I see my sister shooting for months non-stop. It takes a lot of toll and it is not easy.”
Talking about sister Sushmita’s reaction to Hasrat, Rajeev said, “I keep taking input and suggestions from Sushmita. She is quite eagerly waiting to watch my movie herself. She has seen the promos and she wants to see them. She is extremely diplomatic as a sister and she will never praise me. She will only praise when it is worth praising.”
On becoming a producer, he said, “I never thought I could become a producer, it just happened. Apart from a producer, I am a jeweller, entrepreneur, YouTuber and a bit of everything. I wanted to do something which is my own baby, Hasrat is clearly my own baby.”
It is very tough but when I was actively involved with my jewellery line, I was actively doing that because it demands that much time. I can’t do business and film full-time. I go to Dubai quite often. A lot of people feel I go to Dubai for fun but they forget that I’ve three jewellery stores there and I’ve my house there. Dubai is basically a home away from home. I’ve been pretty much involved but not actively.”
Apparently, he never wanted to be an actor. “I never wanted to be an actor and it just happened. Sometimes I tend to generally ask myself, have I really become an actor? I never thought that I would come to Mumbai because I’ve always been a Delhi boy, lived my life there. Mumbai just happened and this city brings out the best and it just took me to a different place,” he concluded.
