Renowned actors Rakesh Bedi and Vindu Dara Singh are gearing up to present a spectacular ‘Ramleela’ performance in Ayodhya, setting the stage for the upcoming Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Vindu Dara Singh expressed his excitement about playing the role of Lord Shiva in the Ramleela, scheduled from January 16th to 22nd. He highlighted Ayodhya’s growing significance as a global pilgrimage site and praised the efforts of leaders like Modi ji and Yogi ji in serving the country.
Rakesh Bedi shared his optimism about positive changes coming to Ayodhya with the construction of the airport, anticipating rapid development in the region. The Ramleela, featuring Vindu Dara Singh as Shiva, has already commenced in Ayodhya.
The Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to organize over 18 forms of Ramleelas in Ayodhya, showcasing Lord Ram’s global significance, was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The performances, starting from Makar Sankranti to January 22, will culminate with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Ramleela troupes from various countries and states across India have been invited to participate, adding a diverse cultural touch to the celebrations.
The Ramotsav will witness performances from countries like Nepal, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, alongside states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and others. The cultural extravaganza will take place at different venues, including Tulsi Manch at Tulsi Bhawan Memorial and Purushottam Manch at Ramkatha Park, featuring various Ramleelas from different regions.
As Ayodhya prepares for this grand celebration, the ‘Ramleela’ performances promise to enchant audiences with their cultural, spiritual, and folk art-based presentations, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of the Ramotsav festivities.
