Rakhi Sawant is making headlines again, this time due to a significant health issue. The actress recently underwent surgery at Nakshatra Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, after being diagnosed with a 10 cm tumor in her uterus. This news was confirmed by her ex-husband, Ritesh, and has sparked widespread concern among her fans.
In an interview with Times Now, Gynecologist Dr. Surabhi Kokate, who led the surgical team, discussed Rakhi’s condition. Dr. Surabhi confirmed that the surgery took place but refrained from providing specific details about Rakhi’s diagnosis, citing patient confidentiality and hospital policy. The surgery was performed at Dr. Kokate’s private clinic in DN Nagar, where she often works late into the evening.
Rakhi’s brother, Rakesh Sawant, expressed deep concern over his sister’s well-being. He accused several individuals of exploiting Rakhi’s fame for their own benefit, particularly after the passing of their mother. He also alleged that Rakhi’s ex-husband, Adil Khan Durrani, had taken a significant amount of money from her, adding to the family’s distress.
Rakesh stated, “We are disturbed. Ever since our mother passed away, everyone who was using her for publicity and taking advantage of her, all have turned against her. They are torturing her.”
Prior to the surgery, Rakhi Sawant informed the media about the tumor and expressed her hope for a quick recovery to continue entertaining her audience. She was admitted to the hospital after experiencing chest pain. According to Ritesh, the surgery was successful, and Rakhi was unconscious post-operation. The tumor was sent for a biopsy, and Rakhi spent about three hours in the operating room.
Before her surgery, Rakhi was seen trying to stay composed, dressed in a hospital gown and sitting in a wheelchair. However, Adil Khan Durrani has suggested that Rakhi might be orchestrating a publicity stunt, given the proximity to upcoming court dates.
