Balika Vadhu 2 featuring Shivangi Joshi and Randeep Rai is going off-air. The news has come as a shock for the fans. During a recent media interaction, Randeep and Shivangi spoke about the show being called off and said, “Every show has its own journey and this one was for a shorter period of time. It was a small journey yet lovely.”
Talking about the show being moved to the OTT platform from TV, Shivangi aka Anandi said, “It was planned for the show to turn out this way. It wasn’t that the show did not do well on TV and therefore it was moved to digital. The journey couldn’t be completed on TV. Therefore, we got that completed on a new platform. When you’ll see the last episode, you’ll understand. It has a very happy ending.”
When asked about the possible reason the audience couldn’t connect with the show, Randeep said, “We did not get enough time. The audience also needs time to connect because it was an ongoing show and then we came onboard. Most of them don’t even know that the show had taken a leap and we came on board. This is why I feel that we weren’t given much time or things didn’t happen the way they should have been, else we would have managed to make a place in the hearts of the audience. Else, we were very sure that we’ll win the fans.”
Shivangi also added to the conversation and shared, “I would see people appreciating our work on social media. We were very honest with our work. This was a small journey but beautiful.”
On the work front, Shivangi Joshi is all set to collaborate with her Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-actor, Mohsin Khan for her next.
