We all remember what a popular show Shaktimaan was back in the days. He was the first Indian superhero television show that aired from September 13th, 1997 to March 27th, 2005. Now the media is abuzz that there is going to be a movie adaptation of the same where no one other than Ranveer Singh.
While there’s no confirmation as of yet, reports claim that the makers are of the opinion that Ranveer will be able to bring the natural charisma to the superhero character. But as we all know how busy of an actor Ranveer is, the makers are going to have a hard time finding his dates.
Mukesh Khanna, whose name is synonymous with Shaktimaan, who became India’s favourite superhero in the 90s, is going to produce the film. The film’s teaser was released in February this year and the announcement read, “One of #India’s major superstars will enact the title role.”
Film analyst Taran Adarsh had then share the teaser, which read, “THE ICONIC ‘SHAKTIMAAN’ TO THE BIG SCREEN…This time, #Shaktimaan will be made for *cinemas*. Will be a trilogy. One of #India’s major superstars will enact the title role. A top name will direct.”
It was Mukesh Khanna who essayed the titular role in the show back then. The show ran for 8 long years and had actors like Vaishnavi, Kitu Gidwani, Tom Alter, Shikha Swaroop, Ganjendra Chauhan.
