TV show Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein will now witness Reema Worah essaying the role of Maya in the show. Yes, you heard it right, Reema has replaced Afreen Alvi for the role.
Interestingly, Reema was the first choice for the part but she couldn’t take up the offer due to her prior commitments. Reema confirmed the news in a recent interview with BT and shared, “The makers had approached me in August for the part. However, they took time to get back to me and I had taken up another project in the meantime. But I am glad to be a part of Shubh Laabh eventually. I was quite happy when Kinnariji (producer) told me that I was the first choice for the part.”
Talking about how she is similar to Maya, Reema added, “Like Maya, I am also pampered by my family and friends (smiles). If the makers believe that I fit the bill, then I am sure that the audience, too, will like me as Maya. I didn’t prod much about what happened between the makers and the previous actress. I was told that she quit owing to personal reasons. I am more focused on my work than trying to find other details.”
Reema plans to portray Maya in her own style. “I haven’t seen her (Afreen) work on the show. I will approach the character the way I want to. I won’t do what she did as Maya. Now, it’s my character and I will play it in my own way. Since it’s very much like me, you will see a glimpse of how I am in real life in Maya,” she concludes.
Reema is known for her role in several South Indian films, Hindi movies, and TV shows.
