LOST TIME – PART 3.2

At Riddhima’s Apartment:

Riddhima: Hello, Kabir?

He disconnected the call, but Riddhima dialed his number again. She figured he might switch off the device if she delayed calling him.

Riddhima: Listen, Can we please talk? I really need your help. I don’t remember so many things from the past and there’s no one who can help me. But I’m sure you were always with me; can you please help me recall what happened?

Kabir saw this as an opportunity for himself and smiled cunningly, thinking it’d make it easier to execute his plan. However, he quickly remembered about the moments of insult when Riddhima was married to Vansh and so he decided to clarify his doubts.

Kabir: Is Vansh coming with you? Is this a trap set by the two of you?

Riddhima: Who is Vansh now and why would he come with me? The only person who can really come with me is Sejal. Do you want me to bring her along?

Kabir: No, come alone. That’d be enough. Make sure no one else comes with you, it’s.. it’s not safe.

Riddhima: Okay, where do you want to meet?

Kabir: I’ll let you know.

After disconnecting the call, Kabir texted her an address in the outskirts of the city and Riddhima read through the message, before forwarding the address to Vansh.

Riddhima (to herself): I guess I’ll see you then! Unless my husband catches you before that.

Sejal: What husband, Riddhima?

Riddhima: Nothing. Can you please make me a coffee, Sejal?

Sejal: I’ve my own work, Riddhima. I can’t be doing something or the other for you all the time. Now excuse me, I’ve to go out.

Riddhima stared at Sejal’s retreating figure, a little shaken with the exchange. She thought she might be burdened with something or the other at her work and decided to talk to her later at night.

Meanwhile:

The driver drove Vansh and Angre to the traced location, with the police trailing behind them. They’d traced Kabir’s location while he was talking to Riddhima over the call. They reached a deserted area in the outskirts of the Western region of the city and hurried to the location. It was a small studio space set amidst a residential area.

The police banged their way through the door and found Kabir sitting on the opposite sofa, in a pool of blood with a bullet piercing through his stomach. Vansh and Angre stared at him in shock, realizing that Kabir wasn’t their only enemy, unless he’d committed suicide. However, that seemed like a vague idea.

The police sealed the space and informed the forensics for their inspection. The head inspector walked Vansh and Angre outside the studio and waited under a tree.

Police Inspector: Sir, the murder happened a few minutes before we reached here. His hands and feet were still warm.

Vansh (nodding): Yes, Inspector. Maybe, if we’d reached here a little earlier, Kabir wouldn’t have been murdered. But that’s why, he was killed. The main culprit was scared that Kabir might spell his name.

Police Inspector: We’ve informed the Forensics, so we’d be able to let out information only after that.

Vansh: Thank you, Inspector! If you find anything, please inform me.

The Inspector nodded and Vansh and Angre made their way toward the car.

Vansh: Angre, do whatever you want; use as many detectives as you need, but find out who’s behind this.

Angre: Yes, Boss!

Sometime later, Riddhima’s Apartment:

Aryan rang the bell and waited outside Riddhima’s apartment. He needed answers to his doubts and knowing Vansh, he’d decided to talk to Riddhima directly. If they were hatching a plan together, he wanted to know of it and help them somehow.

He rang the bell again. But after several attempts, when no one received him, he decided to go downstairs – around the premise – to find her. As he walked around the premise, he saw Sejal standing near one of the pillars and talking on the phone. He walked closer to her and stood behind her to call her.

Sejal: That’s done. If that job wasn’t done, my name would’ve come out and my goal would’ve remained incomplete. But that Riddhima, how dare she try to fool me for so long? She saved herself for all this while, but it wouldn’t be for very long.

Aryan was shocked and quickly hid behind one of the neighboring pillars. He realized his doubts had been right and that Riddhima hadn’t suffered a memory loss, but he didn’t know what goal Sejal was talking about. He found it very unusual that she wasn’t happy with Riddhima’s plan and decided to follow her for knowing her plan.

At VR Mansion:

Aryan followed Sejal in his car and reached his own house, surprised that she’d planned to come here to meet Riddhima. He trailed behind her inside the house carefully, noticing each of her moves.

Sejal saw Riddhima in the living room and smiled at her warmly. She looked around the house, noticing the expanse and embellishments in the house and felt herself burning in rage.

Sejal (thinking): You took away everything from me, Riddhima. You took away my family, my passion, my job, my everything and you were living a peaceful life in this huge property with a huge family. No one would ever forgive you, not even the God you hold so much faith in. You’re going to repent this, Mrs. Riddhima Vansh Raisinghania.

Riddhima: Sejal, I’ll just see Ishani once and then we can leave.

Sejal (nodding): Can I tag along?

Riddhima: Of course, c’mon. Ishani wouldn’t mind a few guests.

Aryan stared at their retreating figure, doubting Sejal’s intentions. He wasn’t sure why, but something felt very unusual about her – something different.

Sometime later:

Sejal walked around the hallway, eyeing the showpieces. She’d always heard that the Raisinghanias were very affluent, but she hadn’t expected her deceiving friend – no, enemy – would get all this. As she walked further, she saw Riddhima standing near the staircase with her back facing toward herself.

Sejal inhaled a deep breath and quietly tip-toed toward her before pushing her down the stairs. She smiled cunningly, happy that she’d been able to avenge some of her pain from Riddhima.

Aryan: ISHANI!

Part 3.3: Ishani is under Doctor’s treatment. Sejal is arrested and the Raisinghanias find out the mastermind. Vansh blames Riddhima. A leap of 7 months.

That’d be it for this episode, please drop down your feedback and suggestions. Thank you for reading!
