“Omkara, Omkara…wake up, Its already 8 a.m., you are late for college, Why do you even lock the door from within?” Jhanvi angrily shouted continuously banging the door of Omkara’s room, as usual her son had locked the door from within while going to sleep and didn’t wake up on time in the morning, Jhanvi performed the daily ritual of banging his room’s door for 5 minutes continously expecting him to open door and run in the speed of Usain Bolt realizing he was late, usually her son would wake up maximum in 5 minutes but today it was 10 minutes and the poor lady had been still banging the door waiting for him to open.
“Omkara, I also have to tell you something, Banglore…” Jhanvi said in an attempt to get her son to open the door, well she was right as the door opened in a moment as soon as she said Banglore, she couldn’t even complete…before it, her son was standing in front of her with his eyes shining and his hands on her shoulder…a smile dancing on his lips.
“What about Banglore , Mom?” Omkara stared at Jhanvi, curiously.
Jhanvi stared at Omkara as she suddenly held his right ear by her right hand, ” Means you were awake, why were you not opening the door? And you are late for college, do you even realize it?” Omkara left Jhanvi’s shoulders as he tried to free his ear with the cute smile still plastered on his lips.
“Mom, I didn’t feel like getting up…” Omkara was cut in by Jhanvi as she twirled his ear, he let out an ”Ahhh’ which Jhanvi ignored.
“Didn’t feel like getting up? And what about your college? Omkara…” This time it was Jhanvi’s turn to be cut up.
“Mom, I didn’t feel like getting up to open the door, about college…Today is holiday.” Omkara got his ear free as Jhanvi stared at him with raised eyebrows, Omkara was rubbing his red ear, cutely.
“And holiday for what? I don’t remember any festival falling today?” Jhanvi questioned with typical Mom instincts, almost aware that her son was lying.
“Arey, You don’t remember, this whole week is a festival.” Omkara again looked at Jhanvi as soon as he was done with rubbing his ears.
“Which great festival, Your highness?” Jhanvi was for sure irrirated.
“Festival of Love Mom, Valentine’s Week…” The smile that Jhanvi witnessed was worth a slap…according to Jhanvi.

“Omkara…Your college authorities gave you holiday for , for Valentine’s week, such supportive college? I’ll na slap you now.”
“Mom…” Omkara looked at Jhanvi innocently, expecting her to give in, she didn’t as she expressed it by folding her arms.

“Ok, Mass Bunk…Nobody is going to go.” Omkara replied himself giving in while Jhanvi moved her head with in a dismissive way.
“Couldn’t you tell me before, infact yesterday?” Jhanvi suddenly was stirred back to life as the question came in her mind.
“No, I thought in this pretext you’ll wake me up early.” Omkara again smiled.
“Oh and I’ll also get irritated waking you up, I understood you were playing with me na?” Jhanvi again questioned.
Biting his tongue, Omkara nodded, “Also I love you waking me up…”
“Nautanki , Stop it haan…today I’ll get late for office because of you, See the time.” Jhanvi said as she turned to go, Omkara was relieved, at last he answered the whole questionaire, satisfactorily.
Suddenly a thought pulled in his mind which made him run towards her, hugging her from behind, Omkara smiled, “Now what, Omkara I am getting late.” Jhanvi said, irritated.
“Mom, You were talking something about Banglore, remember, You had to tell me something na…” Excitement was evident in his voice.
Jhanvi turned as Omkara moved back, smiling waiting for her reply, “Anu called, She had lost my number so couldn’t contact until now, recently she got it from a friend in our circle so we were talking…about her , About Ashwin, his business is going great, they are very happy…She even misses you and your long hair…” Jhanvi paused as she smiled.

“And…” Omkara looked at Jhanvi with twinkling eyes.
“And?” Jhanvi wasn’t able to understand what he meant.
“Didn’t Anuradha Aunty talk about…about, about her children…” Omkara looked at Jhanvi hopefully.
“Yaa, Gaurang is in 12th class, Medical…Last I saw him when he was in 2nd class, Time flies…10 years have passed na…” Jhanvi said reminiscing about those days, about the days when they were in Banglore, they had left Banglore 10 years ago when Omkara was just 14 years as Jhanvi got a job transfer to Mumbai, though trying hard to maintain contacts but still…the busy life of city and adjusting to it made her to lose contacts with most of her friends, Mr. and Mrs Sharma were one of them, their neighbours and Jhanvi’s best friends.
“Yes…Ok…” Omkara said, his face gloomy.

Jhanvi nodded and was about to turn when Omkara asked, “And what about her?”, this was his last try to extract something from Jhanvi.
“About whom?” Jhanvi asked seriously, conceiling a smile.

“Gauri…” Omkara said giving in, his Mom wasn’t going to tell him anything otherwise.

“Gauri, Why you want to know about her? You hated her na? Your childhood enemy…I remember how mercilessly she used to pull your hair in childhood, my son…Leave her, I won’t disturb you by talking about her.”Jhanvi said dramatically caressing Omkara’s cheeks.
“Mom, that was childhood na, lets leave it, its been 10 years…what is she doing right now? How does she look?” Omkara said trying hard to hide his desperation.
“So what if 10 years…I know you hate her even now, leave her.” Jhanvi turned to go as Omkara held her hand.
“Mom, stop acting, we were friends, we just fought a bit…tell me about her now please…” Omkara said a bit irritated.
Jhanvi smiled, she at last made her son to confess that Gauri was his friend, he never agreed to it in childhood “Acha, if you are asking so much then…she is doing her MBA, first year, infact she has also opened a small boutique recently as she was interested in designing clothes… and you should learn something from her, she is 2 years younger than you and still has started earning, such a sweet multitasker girl…” Jhanvi had started doing what every mother does as Omkara stopped her.
“Ok Mom, Great…good for her but how she looks?I mean her pictures…”
“Now I didn’t ask for her pictures yaar Om, search them online…she must be on some Social Networking Site…” Jhanvi said tired of answering his questions.
“Mom, If she would have been on some site, I wouldn’t have wasted my time talking to you here…I searched everywhere…litrerally everywhere, seemingly your Multitasker Sahiba doesn’t know there exists something called SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES” Omkara vent out his frustation of not being able to find her online though he was trying almost everyday.
“Oh, but why were you searching her ‘literally everywhere’?” Jhanvi looked at Omkara with squinted eyes.
Omkara was left speechless, “Mooommm…Just like that, to see how that Khisiyani Billi looks now.” Omkara made up an answer and spoke it out in the sweetest of way possible, Jhanvi raised her eyebrows.
“Oh…Now also Khisiyani Billi, I think you don’t need her photo, see photos of cats online…” Jhanvi again turned to leave when Omkara stopped her.

“Ok, Sorry…Sorry, But please tell Anuradha Aunty to send her pic na…” Omkara said with cute expressions as Jhanvi looked at him not in a mood to give in.

A/N: So this is something I was planning as an OS long back, I guess some 2-2.5 years back but yeah, had to leave so this somewhat written part was left incomplete, Now I am willing to complete it though I am not sure when, To be honest…I had a completely thought storyline back then which also I seem to have forgotten somewhat now so I most probably would change it from my initial plan, wanted to post it now just as a reminder to myself to complete it so posting as an SS, Hope you all like it. ?
