Photoshoot for Riya Bhatacharjee
Riya Bhattacharje who rose to fame with her stint in the popular show Ishq Mein Marjawan will soon be entering the television show, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey. Riya will be essaying the role of Akriti – a scientist. She will be playing the parallel lead on the show.
In a recent interview with ETimes TV, Riya talked about it and shared, “My character Akriti is a scientist and she is in love with Anubhav. She is very smart and I really like the way she dresses and it’s unique on its own terms. The character is also very different from the former characters that I have played on-screen so I am enjoying it.”
Talking about how she bagged the show, Riya revealed, “It’s a funny story actually. I had given an audition for many characters for different shows, where the character of Akriti was also one, and I had no recollection of the same. But one day one of my friends told me about some news surfacing online where I was mentioned to be playing the character in the show, I was receiving congratulatory messages from fans and friends. I was like I don’t know but then I messaged the concerned team and I got to know that I was finalized for the show.”
She concluded by saying, “I just started shooting so I am getting to know everyone. Everyone here is so humble and nice, so it feels like home here. So I am enjoying the shoot.”
