Rohit Chandel aka Dhaval from ‘Pandya Store,’ shares his fitness secrets
Actor Rohit Chandel, best known for his portrayal of Dhaval in the popular TV show ‘Pandya Store,’ opens up about his fitness journey and how he manages to stay in shape despite long shooting hours and work commitments.
In a recent interview, Rohit revealed, “I’ve taken a break from my gym workouts because my shooting schedule keeps me quite occupied. I believe in listening to my body rather than forcing it. I’m passionate about staying fit and have explored alternative options, such as adopting a calorie deficit diet, a recommendation by many experts.”
Rohit maintains a disciplined approach to his diet, emphasizing the importance of essential vitamins, nutrients, fats, and carbohydrates. He elaborated, “I pay close attention to my diet, ensuring it meets my body’s requirements. I consume 5 to 6 meals a day, with my first and last meals at home and the rest on the set during shoots. To stay fit for my on-screen appearances, I limit my carb and salt intake in my last two to three meals. While I enjoy food, I steer clear of junk and unhealthy options when I’m not following a workout routine. My diet includes healthy choices like salads and fruits, and I stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fresh juice.”
Before venturing into acting, Rohit had a background in sports, particularly cricket. He shared, “I’m a sports enthusiast, and cricket was my passion. Prior to entering the acting field, I played cricket at the state level. My fitness journey began around my tenth standard when I started working out, and since then, I’ve been a fitness freak.”
Discussing his fitness regimen during shoots, Rohit mentioned, “It’s not always feasible to hit the gym, so I incorporate on-set workouts like weight lifting, dumbbell exercises, and push-ups in between my shoots. I also practice morning yoga at home. Staying physically active and adhering to fundamental fitness principles are crucial for keeping my body strong and healthy. It’s important to strike a balance between gym workouts and other life priorities.”
Rohit Chandel has been a prominent figure in various shows, including ‘Kashibai Bajirao Balal,’ ‘Yeh Unn Dinon Ki Baat Hai,’ and ‘Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki,’ among others.
