Actor Romanch Mehta, recognized for his roles in ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’ and ‘Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey’, sheds light on his character portrayal in the show ‘Karmadhikari Shanidev’. Revealing that his role as Shukracharya is a cameo appearance, Romanch detailed the intricacies of his character and its connection to the narrative.
Describing his role, Romanch expressed, “I’m essaying the character of Shukracharya, known as the Guru of Death. In the show, Shani Dev shares close camaraderie with a few friends, including Rahu, Ketu, and Shukracharya, and I play one of Shani Dev’s confidants. The complexity and depth of Shukracharya’s role as the Guru of Daityas and Asurs offer a unique perspective to the storyline.”
Emphasizing the nature of his cameo, Romanch stated, “My role, akin to several others in the show, involves intermittent appearances, requiring shooting for four to five days in a month.”
Reflecting on connecting with the character, Romanch shared, “Relating to a mythological character in contemporary times poses challenges as the powers attributed to the Gods in that era are not conceivable today. However, there’s a sense of connection as we all are governed by the same divine force, bringing a slight relatability to the character.”
