As the nation revels in the post-Diwali glow, Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik took to Twitter to raise her voice against the continued use of firecrackers causing harm to the environment and disrupting the peace. The mom-to-be expressed her concern about the prolonged bursting of crackers, impacting both air and noise pollution.
In her tweet, Rubina called out individuals for persistently setting off firecrackers even after Diwali, stating, “To whomsoever it may Concern! Diwali is OVER, Stop bursting crackers ….. since 10th November, non-stop crackers are being burnt till 3 am in the morning ……. ENOUGH NOW…. Air pollution toh hai hi …. Noise pollution is killing our sleeps…..”
However, her plea received backlash, with hate messages flooding her social media. Responding to a comment accusing her of “Anti Hindu propaganda,” Rubina defended herself, expressing disbelief at the accusation and asserting her right to voice concerns about environmental issues.
Screenshots of hate comments were shared by Rubina, who took the opportunity to school a troll, stating, “Don’t come and comment on my Instagram….. it’s NOT GYAN, Mr Intelligently Dumb Vipul Shrisath! Aapse se zyaada hum tyohaar manaatein hain, par doosron ko takleef dekar nahi ….”
Rubina, in another tweet, clarified the essence of Diwali as a festival of lights and celebration of Shree Ram’s return to Ayodhya. She emphasized that the tradition of bursting crackers for ten days was not mentioned in the Ramayan, dismissing accusations of anti-Hindu sentiments.
Amidst the online controversy, Rubina and Abhinav, expecting their firstborn, recently shared enchanting peacock-themed pictures from a maternity shoot, accompanied by the aptly chosen Rani theme song, leaving fans mesmerized.
