Rubina Dilaik talks about her role in Shakti AGAIN

A year ago, we all read about how the story of Colors’ Shakti fell apart when Vivian Dsena quit the show. Post the same Rubina too made an exit after a few months. BUt now after Rubina’s skyrocketing success post-BB 14, she is making a comeback to Shakti. Talking about her exit from the show, Rubina had then said to TOI, “With the pure intention of being with ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’, I chose to become the guardian of a 6-year old child on the show. Now, they cannot drag the story with that plot for long and they had to take a leap to show the kid grown up. Makers had no other option but to show Saumya as a mother figure to a 25-26-year-old. As an artist, it was not like it was not a challenge to play a 50-year-old, but in the story only if the driving seat was in my hand. I am a person who likes to take the entire responsibility of the show, now the responsibility was to be with someone else and I was only there to be seated in the adjacent seat and I could have seen it as a lavish place to be where I get a good per day but that was not challenging for me,”

Explaining how it all has panned out, Rubina tells ETimes TV, “It happened just 2 or 3 days after I came out from ‘Bigg Boss 14’, I got a call from Rashami ma’am (Sharma, producer) and what she told me sealed my decision to return without me having to think even for a few minutes.” And what was that? “You have rightly referred to my quote on why I had opted out. So to tell you to the extent of what I can, I would say that I am back in the driver’s seat,” Rubina replied.
