And eventually, Gaura gathered enough courage to see the recordings from the cameras. What she saw there left her with no words.
It was Chanda who had saved Bhavani. She had somehow found a way to unlock the door and get in. And then, the video showed Bhavani and Chanda leaving the place and locking the door again.
Gaura was now even more confused than before. How did it happen that Chanda turned out to be alive? Gaura had killed her with her own hands and now… How was that possible? Gaura needed answers. She made a promise to herself to find Chanda and Bhavani.
At first, Gaura went to Bhavani’s village but Chanda and Bhavani were not there. Next, she went to her own mansion. The women weren’t there of course but Gaura wanted to make sure not to miss anything. And lastly, she went to the Modi house. Again, nothing. Gaura waited for a moment when the Modis weren’t home so she could search through the whole mansion but her search gave no results.
Bhavani and Chanda were at the house where Chanda lived before moving to the Suryavanshis. Gaura didn’t know about that place and so, she didn’t find them. But she didn’t stop searching. At this point the Suryavanshis had completely forgotten about Bhavani, but the same couldn’t be said about Gaura. She was looking for them every day with no luck until one day, the women showed at her doorstep.
It was an early morning when Gaura was alone at home and someone rang on the doorbell. She went to open the door and couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Bhavani and Chanda standing there. Chanda looked like she was back for revenge. But Bhavani ‘s eyes were empty. Judging by her appearance, she wanted to be friends with Gaura again and she didn’t mean any harm to anyone. Well, at least she wasn’t there to harm Gaura.
“Namaste.” Chanda said. “May we come in?”
Gaura made a gesture for them to come inside and closed the door without saying anything.
She needed a few minutes to realize what was going on. She couldn’t believe that her enemies had decided to come to her alone.
“It seems like you want to die today.” She said. “Usually my enemies don’t come to me alone. But perhaps you are fed up with life or something?”
“I am here to revenge you, Gaura Suryavanshi!” Chanda said. “You tried to kill me because I wanted to expose you!”
“Oh, Chanda. What exactly happened that now you are alive? I remember how I killed you with my own hands. Because if I hadn’t, you would kill me instead and you would also take the papers for the Suryavanshi house.”
“That’s right, I would. But most of all, I wanted to expose you and put an end to the torture that you was putting me through. At the end, I didn’t care about the house, nor for the kids. I just wanted freedom, and you wasn’t allowing me to be free.”
“And who rescued you?”
“My sister did. She had began to suspect you for some reason and she had begun to keep an eye on you. And when you and Vidiya buried me, my sister rescued me.”
“How nice. But your sister isn’t here now. And this time I will really bury you. And tell me, how did you rescue Bhavani? And how did you come to know about her in the first place?”
“I learned about the ways she had tortured the Modis. And then I learned about your friendship. And that’s how we met. When she disappeared, I immediately sensed that you have something to do with her unusual absence and so, I began looking for her and I found her. I rescued her and we lived in my house. The house that I lived in before joining your family.”
“Fine. Now what should I do with you? Of course. I will do what I did the last time. And this time, I will make sure that you are really, really, really dead.”
And then, Gaura choked Chanda again, this time to death. And during all that time, Bhavani was just watching everything without saying a word.
When Gaura was finally over with Chanda, she looked threateningly at Bhavani.
“You are next.” She said.
“No, Gaura!” Bhavani protested. “Please, don’t hurt me. I know, I made a lot of mistakes. I didn’t have to betray you but… Understand me, I really loved Dharam. I thought that he will start feeling for me as well. But that didn’t happen. Not only he didn’t care for me in any way, he was treating me with hatred and he even send me to jail. I was ready to risk my life for him and he knew only Meera, Meera and Meera. I am sorry, Gaura. Please, let’s be friends again. I swear, I will not betray you again, I will never turn against you. If you want I can prove you my loyalty. Please, Gaura, you are the only person who has loved me truly. I don’t want to lose you, if I knew that Dharam is such a person I would never have done that. Trust me, I wouldn’t even think of leaving you. When you told me your story about how he has decided to support your enemies, I didn’t believe you. Well, I did but I didn’t believe the whole story. I was wondering how all of a sudden a loving and a caring son could betray his mother just like that. But when he did the same with me, then I realized that you have been right the whole time. I beg you, Gaura, let’s forget everything that happened and start our friendship again.”
These words really made Gaura think. After all, Dharam had betrayed not only her. Obviously, there were other people suffering from Dharam’s games.
“And you know what, Gaura?” Bhavani continued. “He even lied to me that he loved me in order to find his beloved Meera because I had kidnapped her. I really trusted him. I thought that finally, he had realized that I love him with all my heart. But no. It turned out that he had been using me. He had only wanted to know Meera’s location. I stabbed Meera and I buried her alive. Dharam lied to me that we will marry when he sees Meera for a last time and end their relationship. I believed him and… When he saw her, he rescued her and send me in jail. Now do you understand how I feel?”
Usually Gaura wasn’t forgiving her enemies but this time… This time was different. Bhavani had obviously suffered from Dharam’s fake feelings. And then Gaura recalled how Dharam had told her that she is not his mother anymore and he is not her son. Bhavani noticed that Gaura was busy thinking and that gave her a hope. A hope that she will survive and Gaura will forgive her, leaving her alive.
“What are you thinking?” Bhavani said again. “Please, say something, Gaura.”
“Fine.” Gaura then said. “I forgive you, Bhavani.”
And on hearing this words, Bhavani hugged Gaura.
“Really?”
“Yes. But you must do something for me first.”
“What is it? Tell me, I will do anything!”
“You know that when I forgive someone, I punish them no matter if the person is my relative or an enemy. Now, I will punish you and give you a chance to prove your loyalty. I want you to berry Chanda, all by yourself. I will be here watching.”
“Alright.” Bhavani replied without thinking even for a second. “I will do it.”
And then, she really buried Chanda all by herself. She did all the work. It took a long time but eventually, Bhavani was ready.
Gaura stared at the grave where Bhavani had buried Chanda just a few minutes ago. She smiled, obviously thrilled by what she was seeing.
“Good job, Bhavani.” She then said. “Very good job. Well, you won my trust again. We are friends. Again.”
“Thank you so much, Gaura!” Bhavani hugged Gaura again and this time, Gaura hugged her back. “I will prove you my loyalty with time, I promise. Our enemies will not be able to stand between us, I promise. You have Bhavani’s word.”
“I also promise you that I will protect you from everything. No one will touch you. You have my word. Gaura Suryavanshi’s word.”
And then, the two friends went to the temple together. They also discussed their future plans about the Modis and the Suryavanshis. And now that Gaura and Bhavani had regained the trust in each other and were friends again, the happy times of their enemies were over.
