“I told you not to turn against me, didn’t I?” Gaura said.
“Gaura behen, what are you doing?” Bhavani replied.
“I know everything, Bhavani! I heard your whole conversation with the Modis! You did something I warned you not to do. And now, you will face the consequences!”
“What? What consequences?”
“You will see. Come, come with me and don’t dare to protest or things will get only worse!”
Poor Bhavani had no other choice but to follow Gaura. She tried to free herself but Gaura was stronger and was holding her tight.
After some time, the two women stopped in front of a door. Gaura opened it and forced Bhavani to get inside.
“Look around yourself.” Gaura said. “Do you recognize this room? It’s the same room where you kept Meera, isn’t it?”
And Bhavani recalled how she tortured Meera in the same room she herself was now in.
“You are not going to keep me here!” Bhavani protested.
“Of course I will keep you here.” Gaura replied. “I warned you not to try to fail my plans. You ignored my warnings and now this is what you will get in return. Now not only you will not get the evidence against you, but you also will be locked in here for a really, really long time until you learn how to behave. Now I have more problems because of you. Kokila now has doubts about me and I have to find a way to clear them. You are about to fail my whole revenge but I will not let this happen. Not this time!”
And then Bhavani started crying. But Gaura couldn’t care less about her tears.
“Do not cry, Bhavani. Your tears can’t make me change my mind. You will stay here until you start behaving properly with me. I will now teach you a lesson that you will never forget. And don’t try to escape, you will fail. No one can here your screams now, but you can hear everything else. No one can see you but you can see the outside world. That’s the best punishment for you. Now I will try to win Kokila’s trust again. But if I don’t succeed, you will be responsible and the torture I will apply on you will be way more terrifying than just being locked in a room.”
And afterwards, Gaura left and locked the door.
“Now I have to make the Modis believe me again.” She thought. “I will go and take Vidya back in the Suryavanshi mansion. It will not be easy but I have to try.”
And 20 minutes later, Gaura was in front of the Modi mansion. Kokila was the first to welcome her and she apparently wasn’t happy to see her.”
“Gaura, what are you doing here?” Kokila said. “We know everything about your games again!”
“I don’t know what are you talking about, Kokila.” Gaura replied. “I just came here to take Vidya back home. Bhavani will not disturb her anymore, I promise.”
“Really? Please, Gaura, stop pretending that you care for Vidya, we know everything!”
But then, Vidya herself appeared.
“Baaji, I am so happy to see you here.” She said. “Everyone is telling me that you have organized that whole drama, but I don’t think so. I saw the change in your eyes, and your personality has finally changed. I saw how you tried to protect me from Bhavani.”
“Vidya, what are you saying?” Kokila said. “Didn’t we tell you the whole truth, how can you believe her after you know everything?”
“Kokila, stop it.” Gaura then said. “I came here to take my bahu home. You have chosen not to believe me again and that’s fine. I don’t know who has instigated you against me, but whoever they are, they have lied to you.”
“You are such a great manipulator Gaura, I must admit that. If Vidya wants to come with you then I can’t stop her. But be careful. If you try to harm her…”
“Stop threatening me! You want to instigate everybody against me, I know. You don’t want to believe that I have changed, I know that as well. I now want to restore my relationship with my family and you want to isolate me from the world again! But I am not surprised. First you took away my brother and now you want to take away my family.”
“Maasiji, please be careful with your words.” Gopi said.
“You are younger so you better shut up. I am talking to your maaji and not to you! Vidya, let’s go. Bhavani will not torture you again and not only you, but also your sister Meera will be at peace.”
And then, Vidya and Gaura left the house and returned back to the Suryavanshi mansion.
“But, baaji, how did Bhavani decided to leave all of a sudden?” Vidya asked.
“dear, she decided to finally let us live in peace.” Gaura replied. “I begged her really hard and she finally agreed. See, she even wrote us an apologizing letter.”
And Gaura began reading.
“Dear Suryavanshi family,
I know I tortured you long enough and I am really sorry. I wanted to have things that were not meant for me. I wanted Dharamji to love me and I wanted to live with him forever. But no matter what I did, he never showed any interest in me. If he wants his Meera then fine, I will let them be happy. I want Dharamji to be happy and I am ready to leave the house if that will let him live a happy life. Vidya Meera, I am sorry for everything I did to you. You and your daughter Priyal are free to return to your beloved family. I will not disturb you anymore, I promise. I hope you will ever forgive me for everything.”
Vidya got really surprised by this letter.
But the truth was that, the letter had not been written by Bhavani. Gaura had wrote it. After she locked Bhavani in that room and before going to the Modis, Gaura had returned to the Suryavanshi house and had written the letter, trying her best to imitate Bhavani’s handwriting. Then, she had taken all her belongings and had locked them in her own room. She had made her best to make it look like Bhavani has decided to leave on her own. This way, no one would try to look for Bhavani and Gaura would be a hero in everyone’s eyes.
“Vidya, you should not worry about anything from now on.” Gaura said. “We can live happily now. Your sister Meera will not be treated like a servant anymore.”
“But, baaji, what about the property’s papers?” Vidya asked. “The mansion still belongs to Bhavani, doesn’t it?”
“Yes, that’s right. But don’t worry, I will take care for that.”
And back in the Modi family, Kokila was very worried for her granddaughter. She still hadn’t changed her opinion about Gaura. Kokila was sure that something was terribly, horribly wrong. Her heart was telling her that some bad days will come. And she was right.
Gopi also saw that her maaji was thinking about something.
‘Maaji, what’s wrong?” Gopi asked. “Is there something that troubles you?”
“Gopi, I’m very worried for Vidya. I don’t believe Gaura and I never will. I’m sure something is not as it seems. But what? How all of a sudden Bhavani will leave the family and let them live peacefully? I didn’t have to let Vidya return there. Not until Gaura is around. I don’t trust her. She may manipulate everyone else but me? Never. I will never fall for her fake words again!”
“Maaji, please, calm down. What if Gaura maasi has really changed?”
“Gopi, please, stop being so naive. This is Gaura Suryavanshi and she will never change. No matter how hard she tries to mislead me. I will investigate all that. I will find out everything about Bhavani’s sudden disappearance.”
“Fine, maaji, may it be as you say. I am just trying to tell you that if Gaura maasi had really decided to change, we need to support her and trust her.”
But Kokila had no idea that everything she was saying would be heard by Gaura. Gaura had set up cameras in the mansion and she could see and hear everything that was happening in the family.
“So, Kokila still has doubts about me.” Gaura thought. “I must do something to win her heart again. But what? What could it be?”
One day later. Gaura purposely woke up a few hours earlier than usual. She wanted to go and see Bhavani before morning comes.
“Vidya is so naive.” She thought. “Poor girl thinks that Bhavani has really left us. But the truth is that, she is still here in the mansion. She is just locked in the room next door. Ha ha. And poor Bhavani can hear all my lies but can’t react in any way.”
And next, she unlocked the door and entered in. Bhavani was still awake.
“Jai Ambe, Bhavani.” Gaura said. “Why are you still awake in such a time of the night?”
“Congratulations, Gaura behen.” Bhavani replied. “You are such a good liar. You made everyone believe that I had decided to leave on my own. And that letter of yours, it’s so impressive. And also the way you lied to Vidya. You are such a great actress.”
“Of course, Bhavani. My plans are perfect absolutely every time.”
“Sure they are. But there is still one person that does not believe to all of this drama of yours. And that is your best friend from childhood. How are you going to make Kokila believe you again?”
“I will make a plan about that as well, don’t worry. See, I broad you some food. If you want, eat it. If not, then you will die of hunger. I don’t care. I just want to keep you alive some more time.”
“I will find a way to get out of here. And when I do, your time will come and you will suffer lots more than me. Understand?”
“Stop threatening, Bhavani. I have no time for your empty threats.”
“Empty threats? No, Gaura behen. You should really be afraid of me.”
“Really? And how so?”
“Well listen. Before I left the Modis the other day, I stuffed a small handwritten note in Kokila’s saree. I wrote that if something happens to me you will be responsible. I thought you will decide to keep me here, since this room is isolated from the world. Kokila behen shall soon start looking for me. I hope she has found the note yet. But if not, she will find it soon. What are you going to do now?”
