The Modis soon located Bhavani and rescued her. She was taken to the hospital in no time. Sita was worried for her stepmother, forgetting all the torture she put her through.
Bhavani’s condition wasn’t very serious do to the quick actions that were taken. And although Bhavani was their enemy, the Modi family kept wondering who could have done that to her.
And Gaura on the other end, was trying to prevent a way for Bhavani to tell the truth. She knew she wasn’t responsible for what happened but still, she had no idea how Bhavani could react upon waking up. She had to act fast.
She first decided to go to the hospital and see the current situation.
She went there as quickly as she could.
“Jai Ambe.” She said. “How is Bhavani, my dear friend? What happened to her?”
“Are you really that worried for her?” Kokila asked. “We know you’ve been fighting lately, what if all of this is your fault?”
“Kokila, how can you talk to me like that, don’t you see the situation we are in?”
“Anyway, we will talk about that later. Your friend is doing fine. She may even wake up soon.”
“I want to see her.”
“Go and ask the nurse then.”
And that’s what Gaura did. The nurse allowed her to visit Bhavani.
Gaura entered into the room where her friend was still sleeping. She looked at Bhavani. Her eyes were closed but still, Gaura could feel Bhavani staring right at her.
“How are you, Bhavani?” Gaura said quietly. “Did it feel cold down there? I am sorry for what happened to you. Really, I did not mean to hurt you, or at least not in that way. I warned you about the danger but you either ignored my words or couldn’t hear me. I feel sorry for you but I am here to warn you about something, though. When you open your eyes, do not, and I repeat do not tell anyone about our experiences. You know, what happens between friends stays their secret and no one else is privileged to know a thing, right?”
And then, Gaura heard the door opening. The Modis along with Sita entered the room. But she didn’t let them notice her, She quickly hid behind the door and they thought that she has went away earlier.
“Perhaps Gaura’s visit here has been a short one.” Gopi said. “Sita, see, your stepmother is still sleeping.”
“Maa, please wake up!” Sita said. “Please maa, open your eyes and tell us what happened?”
And then, Bhavani really did open her eyes. Everyone saw her trying to regain her consciousness. And Gaura was still there, watching.
Bhavani gave a look at the place upon waking up. She realized it was a hospital room. She saw everybody being there, including Gaura.
“Maa, please tell who did that to you? What happened?”
“She did it!” Bhavani replied at once and pointed at Gaura. But Gaura had already changed her position and was now standing behind Sita, so it looked like Bhavani is pointing at Sita and not at Gaura.
“What? What are you saying?” Sita exclaimed. “Why do you frame me for such a crime, you know I am not such a person and I will never hurt anyone,not even you!”
Everyone got shocked at Bhavani’s sentence and Gaura was hardly preventing herself from laughing out loud.
And then, Bhavani closed her eyes again. She didn’t have a lot of strength and felt like sleeping again.
And next, the police came to arrest Sita. Poor girl was very scared, she knew she was innocent. But do to Bhavani’s words the inspectors had no other choice but to put her behind bars.
The Modis were shattered. They knew that their beloved Sita hadn’t done this. And how could she, since she was with them the whole day?
They were so busy with thinking about Sita that Gaura left the room unnoticed and then, sprinting through the stairs she finally left outside.
“Ambe maaa, what a story, what a story?” She then said. “I feel like I’m really blessed! I got away again, ha ha! Now the fun begins! Let’s see how the Modis will safe their beloved Sita! But the story isn’t over yet. Bhavani will soon wake up again and when she learns about what has happened, she will probably want to tell the truth again. I have to do something about that as well.”
One week later. Gaura was still wondering what to do with Bhavani. She had decided to ask the Modis about Bhavani, they told her that she is on her way to recovery. Gaura was now going her way back home and when she entered, she saw Bhavani there.
“Bhavani!” She exclaimed, not being able to believe the scene in front of her. “What are you doing here?”
“Gaura beheeen!” Bhavani replied laughing. “Don’t stare at me like you’ve seen a ghost! I am real, if you want come closer and touch me! But perhaps you should be afraid that upon touching me, you will burn yourself.”
“What are you saying?”
“You know what, Gaura behen? You have always said what a good actress you are, how you always find a way to have everything you want in live, how sometimes people can’t make a difference between your real self and between your acting, but today, I will prove you wrong! Today… No no, not today, I will prove it to you right now! I know how you framed Sita in my injury. I don’t care about her at all. She deserves this after the humiliation she put me through. But that’s not the interesting part of the story. The interesting part is the truth. And the truth is, I wasn’t actually injured!”
“What?”
“Yes! Ha ha! I heard you very well when you warned me about the dangers of that lake. But I purposely fell in it. I have to admit, the water was very cold and I felt very uncomfortable, but it was worth it. It was worth it because I had a plan. When you saw me falling, you panicked and went to call for help. I knew I had to stay patient and so I did. When that Modi family came to help me, I pretended that I was unconscious. They took me out of the water, finally. I was grateful I no longer had to feel that coldness. When I was taken to the hospital, I continued with my acting. The nurses and doctors started treating me with some medications and finally, the night arrived. I was finally left alone for the night and carefully listened for any sounds outside my door. Thankfully, there were none. I then got out from bed and again, as carefully and quietly as I could, made my way to the door of my hospital room and opened it. As you can guess, it was left unlocked. Who will think that someone would try to run away from the hospital? And so, I left. I easily made my way to the door that lead to the outside and finally, I was free! Then, I went to your dearest friends, Radhika and Sindoora. I told them how you have tried to drown me and how I will send you in prison if they don’t provide me the evidence you had asked them to keep against me. You know, I am talking about that precious video where I started the fire and then rescued Dharam. They both got so scared about you and politely gave me what I asked for. I won the game Gaura behen, now you have nothing against me. Ha ha. Now tell me, who’s the better actress, you or me?”
