Since last year, the world has been battling COVID 19 and even now we haven’t come that far where this pandemic doesn’t affect us. The battle is still going on and those who have contracted the virus know how hard it is to fight it. The recent surge in case has also accentuated that fact all the more as to how COVID-19 still cannot be taken lightly and one has to take all precautions possible. Throughout last year we saw many celebrities contract the virus and how many of them had to struggle for life. The latest to join this unfortunate bandwagon was none other than actor Salil Ankola.
A day ago, he posted a picture of himself from the hospital and mentioned how he has contracted COVID-19. Now, in an interview with ETimes TV, Ankola opened up on how the experience was extremely scary for him. He said, “It all began when I was about to fly out to Jaipur and hence underwent a COVID test. I was shocked that the test came out positive.” He added, “My oxygen level had dropped to 80 and I was rushed to AllCure- Super Speciality Hospital (Jogeshwari). I was breathless when I was wheeled in. Immediately, I was put on a ventilator. I was admitted on February 28 at 5 am. I developed cough and fever and now they say I have COVID-induced pneumonia.”
He concluded saying, “It has been a scary time. I hope to be out of this in the next 7 days.”
