Chapter 14 – Sangeet and Haldi!!!
It’s morning and Ragini’s sleeping peacefully on her bed while Swara’s sleeping in dadi’s room. Now that Swara’s a would be mom, dadi won’t let her stay alone how sweet. As Ragini opens her eye’s slowly her first sight is her now become darker mehendi. As she gets up and sits on the bed with a huge smile, her mehendi’s so dark in colour she looks at both her hands and smells themehendi closing her eyes and feeling it.
“So it’s not always that my wify has such a beautiful smile on her face??” Ragini now looks here and there surprised. “Won’t this handsome would be husband be credited for that amazing smile now turned into an expression of surprise??”
Ragini amused and surprised at the same time looks at her phone – Sanskar, how can you know that??
Sanskar smirks at the other side – Well, that’s something called intuition my wify, Don’t you know?
Ragini – Oh, really but hey wait, din’t I cut the call last night Sanskar?
Sanskar grins – Nope, you just slept talking whole night about how dadi gave Swara a big list of do’s and don’t and that she had to sleep with dadi now that she needs extra care and love. (He sighs ) My brother here is getting restless to meet his beloved wife and she is spending some quality time with dadi?
Ragini laughs – yeah, yeah, Every time spent with dadi is quality time only.
Sanskar scratches his head smiling and admits – Now, my whole days gonna go awesome.
Ragini lifts her brows up questioning – Why so??
Sanskar exclaiming – I felt you smile and heard you laugh right now, what beginning of a day would have been better than this ?
Ragini blushes and replies – The day that would began with us cuddling next to each other, you kissing my forehead lovingly and I being your wife rushing you out of the room because your getting late to office .
Sanskar falls back on his bed – How about we cut the last part and exchange it with you giving me a kiss?
Ragini giggles – Well that’s to be seen for now Mr.Idiot.
Laksh comes there just then and snatches Sanskar’s phone – Good morning bhabhi, hows you and my wify over there?
Sanskar stares at him – Well, isn’t there a door at the entrance of my room that’s to be knocked before entering??
Laksh waves his hand towards Sanskar dismissing him – Do brother’s need to do that in each others room?
Sanskar shrugs defeated – Well, that will be seen when Swara comes back to this house and your room.
Ragini starts laughing at their fight – Okay fine, stop it you two. Now, Laksh my pyaare se Devarji / Jijaji I’m sending you a video call wait a sec .
As the brothers wait, Ragini gets up from her bed and on’s her cellphone’s video call. She goes down the hall and peeks slowly glancing from one end to the other, checking whether it’s empty or not. She goes to dadi’s room and turns the cell towards the bed, Swara’s sitting cutely on the bed pouting at dadi,
Dadi scolding – Chori, what is this from one hour this milk was kept here, if you won’t drink it how will you get strength it’s your sister’s wedding and being you I know you won’t sit quite at one place .
Swara makes a puppy face – But dadi, who drinks milk so early in the morning yesterday only you made me drink the milk at night. How much calcium will you feed me?
Dadi stares at her and she smiles gulping the milk slowly – Good, don’t teach me all this I have experienced a lot more than you chori, now get ready fast and come down for the breakfast .
As dadi leaves Swara keeps the half glass of milk on the side table and sleeps again. Ragini controls her laughter and runs back to the room – So now restless Patidev happy?
Laksh nods – Your the best bhabhi, I could have ever wished!
He winks at her as Sanskar stares at him – So now that your done won’t you leave?
Laksh makes a face at him -And your the worst I’ve ever met.
As Laksh leaves, Ragini starts laughing and Sanskar shakes his head – Do you look so beautiful every morning?
Ragini flushes biting herlower lip – Now go, I got to get ready for the breakfast.
Sanskar pouts asking cutely – Do I have too??
Ragini’s mouth forming an O – Aww, your so cute but yes you have to.
She smiles and sign’s of. At the breakfast Swara just stares at dadi, who’s putting more and more in her plate , Swara stares at the plate shocked – dadi, are you planning to make me kumbhakaran?
Dadi rolls her eyes at Swara – chori, I told you na, no questioning and showing tantrums on your diet?
Swara shocked even more – What no no this is not supposed to be a Diet (She emphasizes) Maa baba!
Shekhar shows his hands submissively – I’m sorry but maa is right this time Swara.
Sumi nods in agreement – Shona, she’s saying right it’s not for you alone.
Ragini completes – It’s for the two of you!
Swara staring at Ragini Disbelievably complains – Your supposed to be at my side .
Ragini replies apologetically – Well then sorry to upset you my sister.
It’s evening the Maheshwari mansion is looking beautiful, all lighting’s and chandeliers . As the Gadodia’s come there, this time Uttara seems excited as she sees Druv her face lits up even more. Sanlak look at her and seem suspicious
Lucky trying to inquire – bhai look at our sister, doesn’t she seem too happy today ?
Sanky nods – hmm, is there something that your brothers need to know??
Uttara nods in a no – Bhai you just focus on your dulhan, there’s nothing like that!
Just than Ragini comes along with Swara and my my, do I have to describe always how beautiful the sisters look .
Sanskar takes the mike – so before my sister begins with her planned events for the evening Thank You so much everyone for coming here and blessing us. My mom has been planning since day one to make her bahu wear the pushtaini necklace it’s my late nani’s necklace and a blessing towards the beginning of our new life, Mom wanted to make her wear it yesterday but then due t the accident she couldn’t. But now that we all are here, mom it’s never too late so please come here and Do the honours.
Sujatha come’s beaming with the necklace box, as she makes Ragini wear it everyone claps, Ragini takes her blessings . The sangeet begins as Uttara hosts the show, first dance is on radha song with Uttara dancing at the center and Harsh, Dhruv at both her sides as they groove to the music a hooded person enter’s MM and approaches towards Swara but before he could reach there Swaragini are dragged to the center and the light’s go off. Salaame-e-ishq play’s in the background and both the couples dance to the beats as rp, sujju, uttara, dhruv, shekhar, Sumi join them with some relatives . Next come Laksh and Dhruv on the song “tera dhyaan kidhar hai yeh tera hero idhar hai!”. They dance with Ragini, as all smile at their antique and funny steps. The hooded person is shown again, watching everything from above as he clicks some pics .
Last dance of the evening is on prem ratan dhan payo, the whole family grooves to the music and the evening comes to an awesome and memorable ending .
After a hectic day all the Gadodia’s drift off to a peaceful sleep. A hooded man enters the baadi, he goes to Swaragini’s room, the sister’s are sleeping peacefully togather he looks at them and smiles.
The morning brings rays of happiness to the baadi, it’s haldi ceremony today and lastly the most awaited evening for everyone the marriage. As Ragini, gets all ready wearing a yellow lehenga for the event Swara comes in chirping, “The haldi’s here!”
As Swara brings Ragini down to the baadi, the ladies are waiting for them. Dadi and sumi make her sit. Dadi applies haldi to her first with tears as she blesses her – May you lead a long and happy married life my laado .
Ragini smiles at her and wipes her tears signing her not to cry – Dadi!
Dadi sighs – Do I not have right’s to even shed few tears of happiness for my laado?
Dida comes just then – ha, ha, marwaran you only have the rights! bahao ganga jamuna bahao, laado k liye par meri naathin k ankho mai ansoo nahi aane chahiye (Marwaran cry how much you want but don’t make my granddaughter cry )
Dida applies haldi on Ragini and caresses her Face – May all the happiness be showered on you and may your dadi get some senses too.
She smirks looking at Dadi who stares at her and all laugh.
Sumi comes next and applies the haldi – May my Ragu get all the happiness in the world .
Ragini smiles at her and now it is Swara’s turn, she takes haldi in her hands and starts thinking.

Meanwhile at MM Sanskar is all shy and annoyed – Maa, I’m not gonna remove my shirt. Apply haldi like that only and whats even the need of haldi? Ragini loves me like this only, I don’t need any glows.
He looks at her cutely his eye’s cringe and the ladies smile at his behaviour.
Uttara interrupts – Bhai, don’t show nakhra’s now! I’m the wedding planner and you promised me so don’t back off now!
Sanskar joins his hands in front of her – oh meri maa, please forgive me it’s so cold, I’m not…
uttara cut’s him off – bhabhi’s promise!
Sanskar stares at her his mouth hung open and Sujju exclaims – Chorra (Boy), now you can’t break the promise Sanskar it’s on my Bahu now .
Sanskar makes a face defeated – fine!
Uttara and the other ladies make him sit, Ap applies haldi on him and then Sujju,
Uttara chimes – May my bhabhi trouble you all your life and always take her Nanand’s (Sister in Law )side
All laugh at this and next comes Laksh – Keep my bhabhi happy, if you hurt her even once bhai then I’ll punch you straight on your face.
Sanskar – Is this a blessing or a warning?
Laksh smirks – Both.

At baadi Sumi – Shona, what are you thinking? Apply the haldi, all are waiting here.
Swara pouts at them – Maa, you all gave Ashirwaad to Ragini now what will I bless her ?
Dadi shrugs her shoulders – Chorri, What is there to think in that? Give her what you feel like.
Swara applies haldi to her – May your husband and family give you lots of love and happiness
Ragini smiles – Your the best blessing of my life Swara.
Swara side hugs her. As the haldi ceremony continues at both sides, the hooded man enter’s again and looks at the sister’s. Here sanskar start’s getting restless and tries to leave but then Ap signs him to wait.
At badi, Sumi takes the mike and the bg music play’s as she sings…
As the song end’s all are teary eyed and the daughters hug Sumi all clap. The hooded man is in Swaragini’s room he’s about to touch their musical instruments when he receives a call he bangs his hand on the wall and goes from there . Sanskar calls Ragini but she doesn’t pick he gets tensed
“Missed me?”
Sanskar sighs in relief – Alot !
Swara grabs the phone – No no no! dadi said after haldi no meeting and talking to each other till marriage.
Sanskar pouts complaining – That’s not fair.
Swara smirks – Everything’s fair in love if any special message then tell me or else by bye..
Sanskar sigh’s – yeah, It’s an important one but you might not be able to give her that.
Swara rolls her eye’s asking – Why so?
Sanskar replies defeated – Fine then tell her I love you and I want a kiss.
Swara flushes as Ragini watches her amused. As Swara’s face becomes red like a tomato Ragini starts laughing – What is he saying?
Swara gives her the cellphone and mumbles – He’s so damn restless.
As she goes from there her face expression no less then a teenage girl, Ragini controls her laughter and inquires – What did you tell her?
Sanskar replies – That I want a kiss.
Ragini rolls her eyes now and scolds him – chii Sanskar, how shameless she’s your…
Sanskar completes her – saali come bhabhi
Ragini nods – yeah!
Sanskar smiles – I love you and …
Ragini – and?
Sanskar – Take care…
Ragini smiles – You too…
