And here we are with the last chapter of the season,
Chapter 31 – Forgiven….
“Forgive others, not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace”
Two Months Later;
“Sanskar!” Ragini stares at her stubborn husband who pouts at her in reply, “It’s your sisters engagement and this is what you do become a Joru ka Gulaam?”
“Ragini first of all it’s not only My sister’s engagement but also our wedding anniversary so I have full rights to spend the whole day with you my dear wifey!” he keeps his hands around her neck as she stares at him upset, “Secondly, Lavanya will kill me if she gets to know I left you alone in this condition look at you eyes all swelled up, your feeling sick since morning and have not even let me inform others about your health. You went with her alone for checkup few days ago and are still not telling me whats the matter, I’ll drill it out any day soon so cut that also out. Lastly, I love you a lot and you need me thats why I’m here being … ”
“Joru Ka Gulaam!” Lavanya chirps bringing Ruhaan, Ragini’s little bundle of happiness. A curve appears on her lips as she sees him giggling and staring at his bua lovingly who is not in any ways less then the little shaitaan. Ragini doesn’t even need to spread out her arms as Ruhaan easily jumps into her embrace. Sanskar stands up crossing his arms and staring at his little sister, “You said you were going to bring medicine for her?”
“I brought see” she points her hand towards Ruhaan and smiles at him widely. Sanskar shook his head in disbelief but what she said wasn’t completely false, Ruhaan has somehow brought a wide smile on his Ragini’s face which any medicine can’t. He smiles as Lavanya starts dancing in front of the Mother – Son duo, “Can anyone believe this idiot is getting engaged today and Married soon?” he walks towards Lavanya and pulls her into a hug.
It looks like a complete small family scene in the room, the queen with her little prince and the king and his beautiful princess. “I know where your going with this but brother, I and Uttara have already decided we’ll stay at the new house and besides it will be so much fun we all will be visiting each other on weekends sometimes here sometimes there…”
He cuts her in, “That’s what I don’t want, sometime Lav. We’ve just got you here for sometime only, we demand your lifetime with us forever!” he pouts at her angrily and she chuckles pulling his cheek.
“Oh my another small of a big brother, I have been here since two months you forgot so soon not fair! And the whole idea of shifting is because I want some space from you possessive brothers of mine.” She teases but doesn’t realize that her words really hurt him, “Fine, everyone wants me to just go away right? I’m going bye!” Sanskar grabs his cellphone from the side table and leaves without even looking at them.
“On a scale of infinity how bad is it?” Lavanya asks her now petrified Bhabhi who whispers, “Infinity.”
“You Idiot!” Lavanya yells at Laksh who remarks, “Your fault, you stupid!”
“You realize what you forgot right?” Laksh stares at her suspiciously and than at the others who glare at him in return, “There should also be a Beta bachao andolan in the world, not fair why is everyone always taking her side?”
“Oh yeah, what about last time when they took your side?”
“Which Last time?”
“There might be at least one last time, but cut the crap why did you do that?”
“I did what?”
“You forgot the sole responsibility given to you Laksh Bhai, the anniversary cake!” she waves her hands in the air as if trying to make him remember and his mouth forms an O, “Oh, the cake!”
“Yes the Cake!” Everyone shouts at him together and he flinches.
“Are you sure you don’t need any help?” Ragini asks Sanskar who nods his eyes still on the file he’s been holding, “When you all don’t need me then even I don’t need you!”
Tear’s start brimming, as she stares at him torn weeping, “Ragini!” Sanskar rushes to her and cups her face, “I didn’t mean to hurt you baby so sorry sh… ” he rubs her back as her head rest on his chest.
Tears still don’t stop, “Why did you say that you don’t need me Sanskar? Am I that bad? I’m sorry but I need you, how can you say that I don’t need you!” she suddenly starts hitting him. “You egoistic Bas***d!” she holds his collar, “If you ever say that again, I’ll kill you and then bring you back from hell to me. You’ll stay alive with me forever, do you get that?” she threatens him.
He stares into her now turned red eyes and nods in fear, as he removes her hands of his collar slowly, “Are you having mood swings Baby?”
“Hawww, I get angry on you a little and you say I’m having mood swings? You MCP!” she stomps her foot and leaves from there banging the cabin door shut behind her. Sanskar trembles, “What just happened?”
“Did he melt?” Ragini shook her head and Lavanya sighed, “Do you think I should give it a try?” she questioned.
“No I want some ice cream, how about we have some chocolates too. I’ll go for a blue current flavored they taste tangy” Ragini pouts and licks her lower lip making Lavanya burst out into laughter holding the car door open she bows low, “Whatever you wish, our highness!”
Ragini takes her seat as Lavanya takes the Drivers seat besides her, “Are you sure Mr. Maheshwari won’t mind us taking his car?”
“Even if he does who cares” she winks and Lavanya shakes her head, “Hormones!”
“I’m sorry but she took the car instead of him” A man replies to someone sitting in a dark place, “Is she alone?” The man shook his head, “Who else then?”
“Lavanya…”
“The person you’re trying to call is currently busy thinking about her chocolates and black current ice cream please call again later thank you!”
“Lav, just listen to me once” Sanskar pleads, “Tell the user that I didn’t mean it and that I’m still sorry for what I did though I clearly don’t know what I did” Sanskar remarks.
“Good” Lavanya exclaims pulling away her cell phone, “The person says he’s extremely awful and that sorries aren’t enough for what he did so he would take you out on a movie date!”
“Wait when did I say that?” Before Sanskar could complete Ragini chirps, “Really? Aww tell him I love him to infinity and then back.”
“Do you want me change the statement big brother?” She asks innocently, “Nope little sister, I’m okay with it.”
“Are we on good terms now?” Lavanya questions and blinks her eyes, “Well can I ever be angry on you for longer?” sighs Sanskar. Lavanya giggles, “I love…” he trails off.
“Lav? Are you there?” Sanskar gets worried as she doesn’t answer. Lavanya tries stamping on the breaks but they don’t work and she panics, “Bhai, the breaks aren’t working” she stares at the rear mirror with horror, “Bhabhi, jump out of the car now!”
Ragini shakes her head, “No Lav, I’m not leaving you.”
“Bhabhi, please understand you need to jump. I promise I’ll be fine… ”
“Will you two just tell me whats going on?” Sanskar panics at the other side, “Where the hell are you two?” he rushes outside his cabin.
“Bhai we are on the highway, I’m taking a turn at the side road a shortcut to the Market.”
“I’m coming, just don’t… Damn it!” the call cuts as he rushes outside calling someone.
“Why did you cut the call?” Lavanya stares at Ragini horrified, “Because that stupid would have scared us more” she pouts.
Lavanya shook her head as Ragini sighs, “Lav, dash the car to that tree”
“What?” Lavanya screeches, “Trust me and dash it to that tree now!” Lavanya turns the car to the left and it goes straight dashing into a big tree.
“Bhabhi!” Lavanya murmurs waking up, her forehead is bruised as she turns to her left, “Bhabhi!” she shakes an unconscious Ragini. Lavanya turns to the backseat and grabs a water bottle, taking some water in her hand she sprinkles over Ragini.
Ragini stirs up a bit, “Bhabhi?” Ragini’s vision is a bit blurry, “I’m fine, Lav… are you… ” she trails off. “I’m awesome! I’ll call bhai and then we’ll go home okay?” Ragini nods clutching on to her stomach.
“Bhabhi, is there any?”
“Nope Lav… We are fine” she assures her with a smile. Lavanya grabs her cellphone and dials a number, “Where the hell are you?” Sanskar yells from the other side.
“Bhai… ”
“I found you, just wait we are coming!”
“We?” Lavanya frowns at her cellphone just then they hear some footsteps. They open the car door and see Laksh and Sanskar rushing towards them.
“Laksh take Lavanya, I’ll get Ragini!” Laksh nods and goes to his sisters aid.
After sometime, the four of them enter the Mansion, “We could have at least had some icecream first!” Ragini complains.
And the trio stare at her in disbelief, “Ragini, baby I’ll get you a whole damn factory of ice creams just don’t say anything now in front of elders. Otherwise Mom will take the whole house on her head” he remarks giving a fake smile to the guests present in the hall.
“Well, I can control myself but what will you answer when Mom asks about that?” Ragini points out at Lavanya’s forehead, a small band aid has been put up.
“What about that?” Laksh makes a face, “Everyone knows how she is always jumping and running errands, it won’t be that difficult to make a stupid excuse!” Lavanya hits her twin brother for such an awful reply. “You know just because you’re Ruhaan’s father I keep up with you or you would have been dead by now, Huh!”
“Lav, Laksh, enough. You have forever with you to fight but please just control yourselves for now!” The duo nod at their elder sibling and suddenly Ragini starts laughing, “Aww… You guys are so cute, feels like I’m watching a hitler advising his two minions!”
Sanskar turns all red as the guests and everyone standing in the hall has their eyes on them, “Ragini!” he whisper yells.
“Arrey, you guys came so soon. What was the need, you should have had some more of your Gala time and then visited here.” Sujatha mocks and then glares at each one of them, suddenly her eyes fall on Lavanya’s bruise, “Oh my god! Chori… What happened? Did you guys met with an accident?”
Lavanya and Ragini’s eyes widen as Sanskar gulps in, “Mom… ” he trails off. But thanks to his little brother, “Come one Chachi! You know na Lavanya baby meets with an accident daily, whats new in that? Remember on Ruh’s feeding ceremony, how she ended up falling down the stairs just to save his T-shirt. As if it were made of glass and would break into pieces if it fell down!” Lavanya pouts, “Lav, at least today you should have been careful, it’s your engagement. How would you look in the photographs all bruised up like this?” Uttara complains coming from behind them.
Sujatha hits her forehead, “Naah Chori! She’s bruised and all you care about is photographs?” she pulls Lavanya upstairs with her lecturing how careless she has become nowadays and all. Laksh sighs rubbing his forehead and gives his big brother a Hi-five, “Why do I smell something fishy here?” Uttara stares at them suspiciously.
“Choti, run before Mom changes Lavanya into a 90’s bride!” Uttara nods and runs upstairs. Ragini frowns, “You two are so bad, anyways hope this evening goes well.”
Laksh nods and leaves from there so does Ragini, “Even I hope this evening goes well” murmurs Sanskar concerned.
“Even I hope the same Sanskar!”
“Good Evening to all the lovely guests and a big Thank you for being present here today on this lovely night of celebrations. It’s a double celebration for us Maheshwari’s today as of for now lets begin with the engagement of our beautiful and awesome sister Lavanya Malhotra and her Okay okay types would be husband Harsh Singhania!” Sanskar and Laksh exchange glances as their mothers glare at them.
Harsh is wearing a dark blue sherwani and accompanying him is his best buddy Dhruv who is wearing an orange sherwani matching to his better half, Uttara. The lights go off and just the main light is kept on the entrance of the hall, the three lovely ladies enter and their better halves just can’t get their eyes of them.
Its Lavanya wearing a dark blue and cream colored lehenga choli, to her right is Ragini wearing a Maroon colored lehenga while to her left is Swara wearing a pink color lehenga. All three of them look breathtakingly gorgeous, Lavanya inhales deeply.
“What do you think?” she asks quietly walking down the stairs along with her Bhabhi’s, “I say by the looks of our better half’s we slayed it girl” Ragini winks squeezing Lavanya’s hand as Swara lets out a small laugh. “Laksh looks like some tornado stuck him, god look at someone there with Bhai, feels like he can’t get his eyes of you Baby!”
The three of them walk towards the center and followed by them are boys, Dhruv pushes Harsh and he glares back at his best friend, “So lets exchange the rings!!” Uttara chirps and Dhruv goes towards her, “Baby, It’s their engagement not ours” he mutters.
The elders surround them, Sujatha and Pari bring the rings. Lavanya makes Harsh wear it then Harsh does the same and everyone claps.
“So it’s masti time, lets groove it to the beat guys!” The music is played and the ladies dance first, next comes the couples.
“I don’t want to dance with Sanskar!” Ragini pouts cutely and walks to her devarji, “My devarji is a better dancer and a good person. I’ll dance with him!” Ragini grins staring at Laksh who flushes. Before Swara could ask Sanskar grabs her hand and takes her to the opposite side, “Even my devrani is awesome, unlike some women out there always trying to grab extra attention!” he fixes his collar.
“Haww, lets see who tries to grab attention and who gets the attention they deserve!” she walks to the center muttering back at him “Your Sherwani doesn’t have a big collar, huh!” Adarsh controls his laughter as Pari elbows him.

Sanskar and Ragini are dancing together, “Ragu, Why do I feel like you want to say something to me?” Ragini stares at him innocently and then shook her head. “Sure na?” She nods.
“Okay then, I love you” he pouts and she blushes. “Shut up!” she flushes.
“Oh, so is this the new form of saying I love you too Sanskar?” Ragini rolls her eyes and pushes him away. “No! It’s the new form of saying I need some space!” she sticks out her tongue at him and runs upstairs.
Lavanya is pacing in Sanskar and Ragini’s room, the door opens suddenly. “Lav!” Ragini grins, “What are you doing here baby?”
“Bhabhi! I can’t hold this more. My stomach hurts!” she complains caressing her belly and Ragini hugs her tightly, “Oh I’m so sorry, I’ll tell him today promise!”
“No! You tell him now Bhabhi, go and tell him this is real big and please check the area is wide and big before you tell him okay?” Ragini cocks her brows, “He’ll need space to dance and jump in happiness no silly!”
Ragini starts laughing, “Okay, now go and enjoy it’s your day today don’t spoil it because of me.”
“Enjoy? I’m hyperventilating bhabhi” she kisses Ragini’s cheek and runs outside. Ragini goes to the dressing table and suddenly she notices Lavanya’s phone. She’s picks it up from the table and it starts beeping.
Ragini is talking with some guests, a veiled woman enters the mansion and heads towards Ragini. Lavanya is comes out of the kitchen when she notices the woman and finds something suspicious, she walks towards her and is shocked to see a dagger in her hand. She rushes towards her as the woman heads to a busy Ragini and stabs her.
Everyone is shocked, “Ragini!” Annapurna calls out. “Bhai!” Lavanya hisses her hand bleeding profusely as she clutches on to the dagger. Tamanna pulls the dagger out of her grip making her wince in pain.
She is about to stab again but this time someone holds her hand shocking everyone present there, “Inspector!” Sahil yells as the police comes there just then so does Sanskar.
Due to all of these panics and sudden attack Ragini feels giddy, Sanskar rushes to her and makes her rest on the couch nearby. He gives her water and then glares back at Sahil, “What the hell are you doing here?” he growls. Ragini holds him back, “I’ll tell you what he is doing here” she mutters gazing at an extremely worried Lavanya…
Flashback
Come down fast I’m at the gate, it’s urgent – Sahil.
Fear creeps up Ragini’s face as his name flashes on the screen, “Why is Sahil texting Lavanya? Are they still in contact? What does he want from her?” she rushes outside the Mansion.
As she walks towards the gate suddenly someone pulls her aside and keeps his hand on her mouth, “Shh… ”
“Where the hell are they?” An agitated Tamanna yells at a man, “Ma’am, they are coming just few more moments” he pleads not meeting her gaze.
Ragini trembles in fear as the person holds on to her their eyes meet, “Look I’m removing my hand and I’ll explain everything to you but promise me that you won’t yell or even worse shout?”
Ragini nods and he removes his hand, “Sahil?” she whisper asks and he smirks. “I want an explanation now!” she hisses.
“For your unasked question number 1, Yes me and Lav are still in contact she was taking my sessions and I’m no more a psycho now. Number 2, she didn’t inform you all because you and me both know how awesome brothers she has all super protective and she feared they would lock her up if she spilled the beans. Number 3, I’m here not to cause you or the maheshwaris any harm, It’s just a friend who wants to wish his bestest friend a happy beginning of her new life” he smiles.
Ragini smiles back, “Do I have any reasons to say yes, Sahil I trust you now?”
Sahil smirks, “Nope, but I’ll give you a reason or somewhat close to it maybe. My sister wants to kill Sanskar. She was the one who payed him, the guy you saw now to damage your husbands car breaks. But must say being the sati savitri that you are, saved him or else Di had already planned to kill him today.” Sahil brushes his hair, “Wondering why I’m telling all of these?”
Ragini nods, “Because as much as it seems difficult for you to digest Ragini, I’ve changed for good this time. But not because I am Mr. Goodie shoes now or the almighty knocked down some sense into me, nope! I’ve changed for me, changed because someone promised to be by my side if I did and so I did” he bows his head and stands back straight.
Flashback ends.
Lavanya flinches as her brothers give her death glares, her hand still bleeding. Harsh comes to her rescue this time, “I think someone needs help before they die out of lack of blood” Lavanya pouts at him.
The inspector takes away Tamanna, despite of being wrong she still didn’t have a glint of repentance in her eyes as she stated “I did this all for my Brother.”
Annapurna is applying medicine on Lavanya’s palm, her brothers still not in a mood of forgiving her. “I’m sorry” she makes a puppy face, “I thought helping was good and he’s my best friend how could I have let him to suffer.”
“It’s all Harsh’s fault!” she points out at Harsh who stares at her wide eyed, “What did I do now?”
“I asked you before saying yes” she complains.
“For you and your brothers kind information” he says gulping in, “You never ask me, all you said was, ‘I’m going to be Sahil’s councilor’ how the heck on earth is that called asking permission?”
“I think we should call the doctor” Swara impedes. “Yeah, Ragini Bhabhi needs a doctor” Lavanya chirps trying to change the topic.
“Wait a second, why does Ragini need a doctor?” Sanskar frowns.
Ragini shifts from her position trying to face towards Sanskar, “OMG, She’s finally telling him!” Lavanya pipes excited.
“Sanskar… ” Ragini licks her lower lip as everyone stares at her now, “Actually, I .. I wanted to say this to you before only but … ”
Lavanya’s face falls, “But you were always like fighting with me and saying I had mood swings and all” she complained.
“Which was true Ragini you were getting angry on me for no reasons!” Sanskar replied.
“Oh god!” Uttara gets up from her place, “Stop fighting Bhai and Bhabhi, and Bhabhi spill the beans!”
Ragini nods and inhales deeply, “Sanskar I went for checkup last week with Lav and we thought it would be something and it was the same thing. But then the doctor said that it will be confirmed once the reports come and we wanted to be confirmed first before telling so we waited for the reports to arrive, which did yesterday and they were POSITIVE!” she exclaimed beaming at her husband who was still staring at her confused.
“Positive… ” he nodded, “But for what?” Lavanya hit her forehead because Ragini spoke in such a speed and so confusingly that no one present there at the moment understood.
“I’m pregnant” she muttered. Sanskar sighed, “Thats it? I thought….Wait what?”
“SHE’S PREGNANT!” Everyone spoke together.
Lavanya jumps up, “Yes! I’m going to be a bua again!” she pulls Uttara and her hand stings, “Lavanya!” the brothers warn her in unison and she pouts.
“Don’t I get to even celebrate it?” she complains. Laksh smiles and starts dancing, “I’m becoming a chachu!”
Adarsh is the next, “Well even Badepapa and Badimaa need to welcome the new guest!” he pulls Pari with him.
“Does that mean, I’m going to be a father?” Ragini gives him a stern look and he smirks, “I’m just kidding Jaan, I love you and Thank you!” he whispers staring at his family, a happy family.
Sahil smiles standing in a corner watching the Maheshwari’s enjoying, “I would have punched you if you were that old Sahil right now” Sanskar utters standing next to him as they watch the others have some happy time. “Trust me, I can punch you even though I’m not the same Sahil right now” he smirks.
” I can trust you on that!” They both laugh.
“Cake cutting time!” Lavanya and Uttara chirp pushing a trolley to the center of the hall. “Bhai, considering the fact that Bhabhi has already given such a wonderful gift it’s your turn now to give her something in return!” Uttara demands.
Ragini and Sanskar stare at each other, “Well, I’ll give her one soon promise” he brushes his hair.
“We’ll see” the two sisters reply together. “Omg!” Ragini yells, “It’s chocolate cake!” she chirps staring at the big chocolate cake having the couples photo on it. Everyone laugh at her childishness as Sanskar whispers, “See, this is called mood swings!” Ragini hits him. “It’s called craving you idiot!” Ragini doesn’t wait for him to join and blows the candle, Sanskar holds her hand in a hurry and they cut the cake together.
Because they wanted a forever together, they spent it making memories together…
Okay, I’m currently blank. At this moment, I clearly feel no emotions. To say that I’m bidding good-bye would be completely wrong because Sangini will stay forever. I wanted not a closure but rather a forever. Happily forever after is often said to happen in books but then atleast somewhere it should exist right? So here it is a happily forever after. Well you would ask me for a proof, to which I have a epilogue.
Well it can be a prologue to another one too, you never know 😉
