Actress Sara Khan who was eliminated from the Lock Upp is one of those contestants who had to leave the show not just because of fewer votes but also for not being a suitable contestant for the show. Though Sara started the show with a band where Shivam Sharma found love in her. Her gameplay was affected considerably by the entry of ex-husband Ali Mercchant into the show.
Talking about it in an interview, Sara said, “I deliberately took a back step as I didn’t want to create negativity or give more mileage or importance to him and the controversy that we had. He did say a lot of hurtful things but I made sure to maintain my demeanor and not stoop down low”
She added, “I don’t want Ali to use my context in the future to gain publicity and I felt like Ke yeh aakhri baar hai, jab woh mera naam use karega and after this, this chapter will end once and for all. I feel with ‘Lock Upp’, I’ve got closure to my chapter with him”.
Talking about her experience in the show, Sara said, “It was a lovely experience. It was filled with repentance and was an enriching journey”.
