Sasural Simar Ka 2 fame Akash Jagga joins the cast of Fahmaan Khan’s Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharam Patnii
Actor Akash Jagga, who was last seen in Sasural Simar Ka 2, has now joined the cast of Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharam Patnii. The show features Fahmaan Khan and Kritika Singh in lead roles.
The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “I play Malhar, who is smart, cunning, ambitious, and a male chauvinist. He is selfish to the core. Malhar doesn’t mind using people and discarding even those dependent on him for his purpose. He’ll come across a crazy antagonist.”
This role will mark Akash’s debut as a negative character. “Though my character in SSK2 was grey turned positive, this is an out-and-out negative. I wasn’t sure about it, as I never thought I suited a negative character. So, I was a bit nervous. I declined it at first. But the casting director and the creative told me that it’s an interesting character and I am happy with my decision.”
Talking about the reason behind joining the show, Aakash said, “My character was quite prominent initially, especially around the time when I was fighting for my family and the love of my life, Aditi. However, once I got married to Aditi, there wasn’t much left to do for both of us. My character was being used as a filler and I wasn’t happy with it. In fact, I had been in talks with the production house regarding the same for the past six months, as I was standing in the frame like a prop doing nothing. When I was approached by the makers of Dharam Patnii, I was excited, as they also gave me my debut show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. I informed the makers of SSK2 about the offer. I told them that I was taking it up and wouldn’t be available for the show.”
