Actor Abhishek Sharma, who was last seen in ‘Hero Gayab Mode On’ is excited to bring Ganpati home for Ganesh Chaturthi this year along with his wife, Kanan Sharma. Abhishek recently got married in an intimate ceremony.
The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “It’s a very special Ganpati festival this year and it will be our first Ganesh Chaturthi after our marriage. My wife and I are decorating our house beautifully and will be hosting a puja done for peace and prosperity for both of us and our married life. We both are equally devoted to lord Ganesha and are in love with the festival. We are celebrating the auspicious day with lots of love and invited a few friends for prashad.”
Abhishek now intends to explore digital space. Talking about it, he shared, “As a child actor I was blessed to work with great directors and learn a lot from them. They always used to bless me to become versatile. I want to act and flaunt my skills as an actor. I don’t wish to limit myself but to feature in all the mediums be it TV, films and even OTT. I’m open to everything as long as the role is good, promising and challenging.”
Abhishek also mentioned that while working on TV shows he failed to take up films. “I shifted to TV shows with Miley Jab Hum Tum and created a base here in the industry and was committed to TV for a long time, as shoots for TV are for long hours, scheduling issues were too heavy and I wasn’t able to make that shift to movies. But yes at the moment I’m open to movies and I am meeting up with people and looking forward to good projects,” he shared.
He added, “Currently I’m writing a few scripts and have developed some projects for OTT and TV shows which still are in the pipeline. Also recently I have directed a short film which was about creating social awareness. I finished shooting and have put the post-production on hold due to my marriage ceremony. Now I will finish it by this month.”
