Sasural Simar Ka fame Prithvi Tanwar shares the reason behind changing his name from Mahesh to Prithvi

TV show Tumi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi fame Prithvi Tanwar, who hails from Chittorgarh Rajasthan has recently been roped in for tv show Sasural Simar Ka 2. Interestingly, though for a brief period, he had been a part of the first season of Sasural Simar Ka.

Prithvi, who recently recovered from COVID-19 talks about his recovery phase, in an interview with BT, “On April 28, I tested positive while traveling from Agra to Mumbai. I had to quarantine myself and returned back on the sets on May 20. I am still feeling weak, but I know the weakness will go away slowly.”

He adds, “I am glad to have bagged Sasural Simar Ka 2. Last year, during the lockdown, I was in my hometown Rajasthan and didn’t have any project in hand. After returning to Mumbai, I gave several auditions and finally got this show, which I joined in April.”

Prithvi started his acting career in 2012 by his original name, Mahesh. He later changed his name from Mahesh Tanwar to Prithvi Tanwar. . He says, “Due to the untimely death of my uncle Prithvi Tanwar, my bade papa, I chose to change my name to honor his legacy. I changed my name in 2019 and since then I am known as Prithvi. There’s no other reason for changing my name. I feel he’s around me when someone calls me by his name.”
