‘Savdhaan India’ shooting banned for 15 days

Pramod Kalekar, who worked as an Assistant Art Director on the sets of ‘Savdhaan India’, was killed in a bike accident on February 13 around 4.30 am. The deceased was heading towards home after completing a shift of nearly 19-20 hours. The crime show is being produced by Rajesh Tripathi (Ghummakad Productions).

According to ETimes TV  the shooting of the crime show had been stopped by the Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). According to FWICE president B N Tewari “There was no shooting of ‘Savdhaan India ‘ since that ill-fated day. As far as I know, we have been seeing repeat episodes of old,”

FWICE asked the producer to pay a compensation of Rs 20 lakh to Savita Kalekar, Pramod’s wife. The producer took his time to shell out the amount as he had his arguments with FWICE. The amount ordered by FWICE was Rs 50 lakh but finally, the Federation and the producer mutually agreed at a compensation of Rs 20 lakh.

This incident also shed light on the unregulated working hours and inadequate insurance for the crew members.
