Actress Sayantani Ghosh who recently tied the knot with Anugrah Tiwari has been running late for her honeymoon. Earlier in an interview post her wedding she mentioned that it would be a delayed honeymoon for her.
Sayatani was back on the sets of Tera Yaar Hoon Main a few days after her marriage and hence the newlyweds had to wait for a more opportune time to go on their honeymoon. Now that the show has wrapped up on January 29 and the couple decided to execute the plan.
In a recent interview with Bt, Sayantani talked about it and shared, “A TV actor gets time to be with her family and travel in between shows and I am going to make the most of it. We are off for 10 days. Anugrah and I had not been abroad together. So, we were certain about visiting someplace out of India. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 norms and protocols, we didn’t want to go far away. We didn’t want to go to the Maldives for sure, because we have seen ample of it on social media (laughs!). So, we zeroed in on Sri Lanka.”
She added, “We have been traveling for almost a month since TYHM wrapped up. We spent two weeks each in my Sasural, Jaipur, and Maayka, Kolkata. We went during the winters and hence, wanted to go to a place, which was less cold. Dubai, too, was on the list. However, Anugrah didn’t want it to be a shopping sojourn. The intention was to explore a new country and culture, as we spent some quality time together.”
Talking about the importance of number 9 in their lives. Sayantani says, “We started dating on August 9, 2013. Coincidentally, December 9 happened to our reception date as well and we have left on our honeymoon on March 9. So, the number is extremely special. We will continue to celebrate the 9th of every month, as Anugrah and I are quite emotional about these small yet meaningful things.”
