When something bad happens to us we always hope for a ray of light to pull us out of that dark phase. In such situations the presence of a good fried wold be most comforting. Most of the time we fail to realize the importance of someone in our life. While they are with us we give them slight importance and take their presence and comfort for granted. Only when they go away do we realize how badly we want them. We often hurt them and though we too get hurt we tend to overlook it and try to convince our self that it is just the opposite.
Now looking back at her life Sam realized her mistakes. She understood that what she did to her besties Neil and Radhika were wrong. But then it was too late. She cursed herself for not realizing the danger hidden perfectly behind sweet words and the mask of love and care. Though the facts were laid out infront of her she refused to even listen to it let alone glance at it. She now regretted her deeds. It was because of her unwillingness to see truth that caused this disaster. Had she listened to them she might not have broken down hearing Nandini’s confession. Standing on the balcony with her hands holding the rail, she wanted to shout to the world that she did a grave mistake and that she was ready to do any compensation for her stupidity. She badly missed the comforting words and support provided by her besties.
Gazing at the night sky she recalled the sweet moments she spent with her gems. How they made out different star constellations. How happy they were. They would sit in the balcony eating the delicious food cooked by chashni and Neil would bring her pineapple juice teasing her about her choice. She vividly remembered their conversation. She recalled Radhika pointing out to a twinkling star when asked what she wanted to be. Though she was confused at Radhika’s statement, it now made sense to her. For the first time since their departure to who know where a slight smile adorned her now calm face.
Coming back to the present she felt a wave of guilt pass through her. She now understood how absurd her decisions were. How could she blame Radhika???? It was her who broke the iciness’ between her mom and herself. It was her who saved her parents dream Bird Song. It was her who consoled and fought for her when Arjun broke up with her. It was all her. This was what Neil tried to put into her head. But she didn’t listen. He stood by her side supporting her but she hurt him too by chanting “I don’t love you. I love only Arjun “. Though he told her that she was blinded she didn’t mind his words. She hurt him by believing herself to be in love with Arjun when it was always Neil, her idiot, who was in her head. She recalled being jealous seeing Neil with Sharon at the party. Unable to bear the guilt she slumped on the floor and cried her heart out.
So how is it???? Is it good??? Please do tell me your sincere opinion of the above.
