Shakti fame Anuruddh Dave talks about his next; says, “My audience will see me in an all-new avatar soon”
Actor Aniruddh Dave who rose to fame with his stint in Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has several TV shows to his credit and Bollywood movies in the pipeline. The actor is now all set to add another feather to his cap as he is gearing up to host an education-based show.
Aniruddh talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “I have done fiction for a long time and now, it’s time for a non-fiction show where I can explore myself as a host and anchor. Soon I will be hosting a show titled Seekho which is based on infotainment and will be for different platforms. Luckily, I will get to work with my Patiala Babes co-actor Paridhi Sharma who will co-anchor the show. The makers wanted a host who knows about various subjects, has good command over Hindi, and is aware about India, our society, culture and history. I am happy and excited to be a part of the show. My audience will see me in an all-new avatar.”
Aniruddh has been constantly working hard on polishing his acting skills. His film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti won the Best Feature Film in Haryanvi language at the 67th National Film Awards. “The last year taught me valuable life lessons. There was a low phase when I was fighting for life in the hospital and then I bounced back with the same grit. My film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti winning a National Award was just the cherry on the cake,” he said.
The actor has now completely shifted his focus on films. He was last seen in the TV show Lockdown Ki Love Story. Aniruddh is currently busy shooting for Satish Kaushik’s Kaagaz 2. “I am happy and content that I am doing good work. But it’s been a long time since I have done any show on TV. That never happened in the past one decade (since 2009) when I entered the entertainment industry. I know the audience misses me on TV but honestly, I have no time for TV right now. I am doing films, docu-dramas, have started my production house and been involved with a lot of creative work. One needs to upgrade and learn, which I am doing right now. But that does not mean I won’t come back to the medium that gave me my identity. If something good is offered and I have time, I will definitely accept it.”
Talking about his battle with COVID-19 last year when he was hospitalized for almost two months in Bhopal, he said, “Getting back to work after three months was not easy. One needs to prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally. Also, no one in my family was happy with my decision to resume work. But somehow I convinced them. Even after I got discharged from the hospital, I was on lung cancer medication n to heal my lungs. To play a cadet in the movie, I had to prepare myself. I used to run 10 km every day. I even practiced diving from a height of three floors into the pool as it was needed for my role. The good role and appreciation on the set really motivated and encouraged me; it gave me the feeling of coming back to the entertainment industry. Thankfully, it helped me in getting my confidence back. COVID-19 taught me to never hold any grudges.”
