Sheezan Khan granted bail in Tunisha Sharma suicide case
Actor Sheezan Khan, who was arrested in his co-actor and former girlfriend Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case, has been granted bail on March 4.
The Alibaba Dastaan-e-Kabul actor was taken into custody on December 26 after Tunisha’s mother filed a complaint of abetment to suicide. Sheezan has been in jail for almost 2 and a half months.
Sheezan’s lawyer Shailendra in an interview shared, “Sachhai ki jeet hui hai, Satyameva Jayate. He was innocent, he is innocent. The judgment in the High Court will also prove his innocence. Our hearing at the High Court is pending. It is on March 9, when we will seek to quash the FIR filed against him. He has been granted bail by the Vasai court. I will try to get him out this evening or Monday morning. We are thankful and grateful to everybody who has supported us and not supported us.”
He added, “Sheezan has been granted bail on a surety of Rs 1,00,000. We are in the process of complying with the terms and conditions set out by the court. Other conditions that he has been asked to abide by are not tampering with the evidence, influencing the complainant, and traveling without prior permission. He has been directed to attend trial regularly.”
For the unversed, Sheezan was the prime accused in 20-year-old Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case who died on December 24 on the sets of Ali Baba – Dastaan E Kabul.
