Sheezan Khan opens up about his silence on Tunisha Sharma’s Anniversary & TV Show Exit Reasons

Television actor Sheezan Khan recently engaged in an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram after his discharge from a prolonged hospital stay. Amidst the Q&A, a fan inquired about his lack of tribute to Tunisha Sharma on her first death anniversary in December 2023.

The tragic incident involving Tunisha Sharma’s demise by suicide on the set of ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul’ on December 24, 2022, allegedly following an altercation with Khan, led to his arrest on December 25, 2022. Subsequently, he was released on bail on March 5, 2023.

During the Q&A session, when questioned about his absence on Sharma’s death anniversary, Sheezan responded, stating, “The reason for not posting anything on those days is because of a legal agreement that prohibits me from publicly posting her pictures or mentioning her name! Henceforth, I refrain from discussing this matter.”

After his release from judicial custody, Sheezan took a hiatus and bounced back with participation in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.’ His return to fiction TV was marked by his stint in ‘Chand Jalne Laga,’ which he eventually exited. Sheezan disclosed to BT about his departure, stating, “I was initially assured the role of the parallel lead, but it was later downsized. I had no option but to step down. I am seeking a role that allows me to showcase my talent adequately. As an actor, I prioritize roles offering substantial screen time and depth.”

Elaborating further, he revealed, “Initially hesitant to join the show mid-way as the parallel lead, my apprehensions dissolved after hearing the narrative and the forthcoming storyline.”

Sheezan Khan’s recent Instagram session shed light on his past absence during Tunisha Sharma’s memorial and the circumstances surrounding his exit from ‘Chand Jalne Laga,’ underlining his aspirations for roles that truly leverage his acting prowess.
