Sheezan Khan’s Brief Stint in ‘Chand Jalne Laga’: Seeking Roles That Match Talent

Sheezan Khan, known for his portrayal as Ali Baba in “Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul,” made a return to the fiction genre with “Chand Jalne Laga” after an absence of nearly a year. Having harbored high hopes for this comeback venture, he found himself departing from the daily soap in less than a month, commencing shooting on December 1.

Initially cast as the parallel lead in the series, Sheezan Khan expressed his reasons for exiting, stating, “I was assured of the role of the parallel lead, but it eventually dwindled into just another character. Consequently, I had no option but to step away from the show. I am now on the lookout for a role that allows me to showcase my talent adequately. As an actor, my preferences revolve around significant screen time and roles that demand performance.”

In a conversation held with us before joining the show, Sheezan shared his initial reservations about joining midway but was swayed by the narration and the forthcoming storyline. He emphasized, “One should acknowledge their reality, and I understand mine. At a time when work opportunities were scarce, someone took the chance to offer me work. Attaining the top spot is in my control, but for that, I need to be part of the competition. Place me at number ten; I know how to reach number one. For now, I’m content to be back. I’m open to restarting from scratch because, at least, I have the courage to begin anew. Furthermore, my work approach remains unchanged. I still perceive myself as a newcomer, continuously learning because life imparts new lessons every day.”

Before his return to acting, Sheezan underwent a noticeable transformation by bidding farewell to his long, flowing locks after nearly two years.
