Sherdil Shergill: Ayesha Kapoor all set to make her TV debut as the parallel lead

Actress Ayesha Kapoor who is known for her performance on the digital space is now all set to make her television debut with the popular show Sherdil Shergill. Her entry in the show is expected to bring a lot of twists in the life of Surbhi Chandna and Dheeraj Dhoopar.

The actress talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “I’m playing Nikki who is very sweet and cute and also funny at many times. My role is that of a typical girlfriend who keeps an eye on her boyfriend and wants him to keep herself updated with all his plans. She keeps complaining about certain things which a boyfriend must do. She wants to marry Dheeraj’s character and make all the plans for making her dreams come true. Till times it’s a bit positive but yes the role is very strong and layered. I’m very much happy to make my television debut with such an amazing character in a wonderful show.”

Talking about her bond with the current leads of the show, Ayesha said, “Surbhi Chandna and Dheeraj Dhoopar are quite popular names in the TV industry today. I was very nervous to shoot along with them. But I must say they are very supportive, welcoming, and grounded people. Since it’s my TV debut and to get a TV show I took a break from digital projects and stayed home for 2-3 months and kept trying to go on auditions for TV projects. And when I finally got this one by God’s grace, I was overwhelmed. They try to be friendly and try to keep me involved too. They also keep guiding me to perform well by narrating situations and ideas. It’s seriously fun working with them.”

Ayesha has earlier featured music videos and web series like Pari, Fark, and Vaishya. She has also been a part of the movie Lovestreet.
