Goddess Parvati, in her Adi Shakti avatar, threatens to kill Gajasur and free Mahadev. Gajasur willingly accepts his fate, desiring death at Adi Shakti’s hands as a repentance for his mistake of imprisoning Mahadev. Shukracharya and Diti attempt to intervene, fearing Gajasur’s death will release Mahadev. However, Mahishi stops them, asserting that Gajasur’s actions are his way of rectifying his sins. She uses her maternal power to bind Shukracharya and Diti, despite their protests.
In the ensuing battle, Gajasur mocks Adi Shakti, challenging her capabilities. As the fight intensifies, Adi Shakti attacks, but Gajasur chants “Har Har Mahadev” and surrenders. This confuses both Adi Shakti and Narayan. At that moment, Mahadev emerges from Gajasur’s heart, restoring balance to the universe as devotees worship the Shivling. Adi Shakti learns from Mahadev that Gajasur’s actions were driven by repentance and a vow of secrecy.
Gajasur admits his sins, acknowledging his arrogance and selfishness. Mahadev explains that Gajasur’s pride made him vulnerable to Shukracharya’s manipulation. Gajasur begs for forgiveness and requests liberation through death by Mahadev’s trishul. Despite his reluctance and pain over repeatedly having to kill his devotees, Mahadev prepares to grant Gajasur’s wish, fulfilling his plea for redemption.
