In the aftermath of concluding my stint with the television series “Mann Sundar,” an intriguing opportunity presented itself—an offer for a negative role in “Kumkum Bhagya, says Shivam Khajuria, a popular name in the telly industry.
The prospect excited me, as the character portrayed to me held considerable promise and fascination. However, upon my entry into the show, substantial creative alterations transpired, including a significant storyline shift. Faced with this transformation, I made the decision to depart from the series, driven by a desire to explore fresh avenues in my career.
Subsequently, Shivam is set to make an entrance into ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,’ assuming a parallel lead role alongside Samridhii Shukla and Shezada Dhami. It is noteworthy that, at the time of my departure from “Kumkum Bhagya,” discussions regarding my involvement in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ were non-existent.
Reflecting on this twist of fate, I share that, initially, there were no negotiations concerning my participation in ‘Yeh Rishta’ or any other projects. However, as events unfolded, the pieces fell into place, and I found myself blessed with the opportunity to undertake a pivotal role in this immensely popular show.
Delving into the specifics of my character, I am set to portray the role of Rohit. Within the narrative, Armaan (Shezada) and I assume the roles of stepbrothers within the Poddar family. Despite the complexities in my relationship with our father, my affection for my stepbrother Armaan remains unwavering. Describing my character further, I am depicted as an LLM student, constantly seeking guidance from my brother. The dynamics of our relationship involve a degree of tension with our father, while my bond with Armaan transcends the constraints of being step-siblings.
In terms of the narrative, my character expresses a desire to relish life, yet contends with the strictness of Ammaji (Anita Raj). Armaan emerges as a reliable ally, aiding me in navigating challenges and dilemmas. In turn, I reciprocate by standing steadfastly by his side when the situation demands.
