Shivangi Joshi recalls getting replaced last minute from web show

Popular actress Shivangi Joshi is widely recognized as one of the most talented and beloved celebrities in the entertainment industry, boasting a massive fan following. However, like many in the entertainment world, she has faced her share of setbacks, including sudden replacements and industry biases. In an interview show, Shivangi shared some shocking revelations about her experiences with being replaced last minute and the challenges TV actors face in securing designer outfits.

When asked about the experience of being replaced, Shivangi Joshi revealed a surprising incident that happened during her career. She stated, “It has happened to me,” recounting a time when she was considered for a role on another platform. After successfully auditioning and impressing the casting team, she was unexpectedly replaced by another actress.

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star shared that she was informed about the change just before the project commenced. “I was considered for another platform and my auditions happened. They really liked my performance, and everything was set. Suddenly, last minute, I got to know that someone else is doing the project.”

Shivangi disclosed that the person who replaced her was the daughter of a celebrity, which added to the shock of the situation. “I asked, ‘When did this happen?’ so I was told that she is someone’s daughter and now she is being considered for the role. I don’t want to take names. I was told that you can do the friend part if you want.” Shivangi clarified that this incident involved a significant web show.

In addition to being replaced in projects, Shivangi Joshi highlighted another prevalent issue in the industry: the reluctance of designers to provide outfits to TV actors. The Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka actress discussed how TV actors often face discrimination from designers who prefer to dress Bollywood celebrities.

“There are two designers who, in the start, used to call TV actors and gift them outfits. However, now even they say, ‘We don’t give outfits to TV actors; we only give to Bollywood actors,'” Shivangi explained. She emphasized that this bias still exists in the industry, despite the wide reach and popularity of TV actors.

Shivangi further noted that when designers do offer outfits to TV actors, they are often the pieces that no one else wants to wear. “I feel bad about this. I think TV actors have a wider reach compared to a few Bollywood actors. This is something that needs to change,” she added.

On the professional front, Shivangi Joshi was last seen in Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka, where she starred opposite Kushal Tandon. Known for her compelling performances, Shivangi continues to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.

Shivangi Joshi’s candid revelations shed light on the challenges faced by TV actors in the entertainment industry, from unexpected replacements to designer biases. Her story underscores the need for change and equality in opportunities and recognition for all actors, regardless of their platform. As Shivangi navigates her career with resilience and talent, her fans eagerly anticipate her future projects.
