Shivangi Joshi is a very popular name in the television industry. She has been a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for 4 long years now and being a part of one of the longest running shows has it’s perks too. She is surely lucky as the show steered through safely during the tough and testing times of COVID too. These days in YRKKH, Shivangi is seen as Sirat, Naira’s lookalike in the show.
As she turns a boxer for the role this time around, the actress revealed in an interview with The Times of India how it needs a lot of physical and mental balance and she works with her trainer for an hour every morning. She added how she now realises that boxing has a lot to do with the presence of mind and on-spot improvisation because one wrong move can hurt one and while it has been challenging, it has been great so far.
Meanwhile, the actress has revealed earlier how she started crying when she first heard about Naira dying, and that lead to rumours that she would not be a part of the show. However, she added that this wasn’t the first time for her and hence, she was not bothered by them and concentrated on working her character rather than paying attention to these rumours.
As for her interest in doing movies, she says that she would like to do a film that has an unexplored character, however, she knows that it will take time as she is currently fully dedicated to the show. She has also done a short film, and it was to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival last year, but it was then cancelled.
