Shraman TS || My Promise || Part 2

So the second chapter is here.

I dedicate this chapter to all the wonderful characters and actors of EDKV who made our days too beautiful.

Mystery remains Mystery!

In the navy blue night with stars draped around it, the moon, stooped down to kiss the beautiful lake with a sister’s kiss, and throw her silver arms around it clingingly, Shravan sped up his car to match the speed of white ambassador. He wondered what made that ‘khatara’ to run like ‘F1’. But he didn’t gave time to these thoughts since what happened few minutes ago shook him to the core.

Flashback:

“Kuch nahi! Tumhe Ramnath Uncle bula rahe hai. Aur mera kya, mein toh bus aapna vada nibha rahi hu.” She said and rushed off from there.

He was puzzled by her statement and entered the hotel room allotted to his father to know what actually happened. The scene inside puzzled him more, everyone was standing there like a statue looking towards ground, Preeti was sitting at ground in a dreadful state with Pushkar and Vandy beside her who were themselves crying but then too tried to console her and at last he saw his father sitting at a chair in farther most corner of the room with his head in his hands.

“Papa…” He said slowly, remarking the confusion in his mind.

Everyone looked up at Shravan then at each other. Ramnath stood up with a jolt.

“SHRAVAN! WHERE WERE YOU?” Ramnath shouted making everyone shiver in fear.

Others sensed the tension growing and started to move out but Preeti was transfixed to the point and Vandy left her to Pushkar. Lalaji and Kamini were stopped by Ramnath – “Lala and Kamini you both go and join the function because we can’t change what happened but it should not affect what is going to happen. Take care that Anshika doesn’t come to know about all this. Let her enjoy her wedding.”

“Ji Bhaisahab”, both of them replied together between their sobs and left to join the function.

Ramnath turned to talk to Shravan but was interrupted by a sobbing Preeti.

“Pushkar sab mujhe chod kar chale gaye…Bhaiya pehle America chale gaye…Phir Mummy, Papa, Bua, Phoofa ji, Dabbu aur Dadu ke unke pass chale gaye … Aur ab Dadu ke sath Di bhi mujhe chod kar chali gayi…”, before Preeti can say anymore Pushkar hugged her tightly and let her made his sherwani wet.

Shravan’s volcano of confusion was now ready to blast. He didn’t get anything what was happening. Ramnath looked at Shravan and understood his confusion.

“Shravan” he took a pause and continued “Tiwari ji ab humare beech nahi rahe!”

“What? Papa do you even know what you are speaking”

“Yes Shravan I very well know what I am speaking.” Ramnath said with a sigh.

Preeti again interrupted them, “Pushkar, jab bhi mere sath kuch achcha hua hai uske sath jarur kuch na kuch bura hua…Jab humari shaadi hui, tab di ne apni kurbani di…Jab mujhe pata chala ki mein maa banne wali hu, tab Nanu aur Di hume chod kar chale gaye.”

“Wait…Tum pregnant ho! Preeti tumne yeh bat hume kyo nahi batayi”, spoke Pushkar with his mind not able to decide whether he should be happy to know about his child or sad to know about Dadaji.

“Haa Preeti beta, tumhe hame yeh batana chahiye tha!” spoke Ramnath in state as that of Pushkar.

Ramnath’s words added more fuel to Preeti’s already boiling anger.

“KYA BATATI MEIN? YEHI KI, AB AAPKO MERE AUR PUSHKAR KE BAAD EK AUR HATHIYAR MIL GAYA MERI DI KE KHILAF ISTMAL KARNE KE LIYE. YA PHIR YEH KI MERI AUR DI KI EK AUR KHUSHI KO AAP PHIR SE KHARDINE KI KOSHISH KARE.”

“PREETI!” Shouted Pushkar. “HOW DARE YOU TALK TO SIR LIKE THAT?”

“TOH KYA KARU MEIN? SHANTI SE YAHA BETHI RAHU AUR AAPNI AAKHON KE SAAMNE SAB KUCH HOTE HUE DEKH KAR BHI KUCH NA BOLU. TUM KO PATA HI KYA HAI? BAS YAHI KI PEHLE HAMARI SHADI HUI AUR USKE BAAD DI AUR MR. SHRAVAN RAMNATH MAHOTRA KI. ISKE BEECH MEIN JO TAMASHA HUA USKE BARE MEIN TO TUMHE KUCH BHI NAHI PATA HOGA…KUCH BHI NAHI!”, Preeti shouted, totally red in anger.

“CHALO BATAO TUM AISA KYA HUA JO TUMHE PATA HAI AUR MUJHE NAHI!”, shouted Puskar.

Their fight was already sending shivers to Ramnath and Shravan. Ramnath was confused and afraid that how do and how much Preeti know about this all also if she reveals even a bit about it Shravan is an Oxford graduate who will not take even few minutes to crack it out

“Pushkar…Preeti…Please shaant ho jao…”, Ramnath pleaded.

“Nahi! Ab mein shaant nahi hogi Mr.Malhotra . Mere Di shaant rahi thi kyonki unhone aapse vada kiya that aur mein shant thi kyonki meine unse. Par us vade ne mere Di ki life ko nark bana ke rakh diya aurab jab mere Di hi mere sath nahi hai to kya vaazod aise vade ka.”, said Preeti, a bit calm now and her voice filled with anger for Ramnath.

“Preeti…”, Ramnath pleaded her again to stop.

“Mr. Malhotra you wanted that promise for happiness your son but you never saw that what effect it had on my Di. First, she wanted him to meet his Mom to gain back the trust he had on women. But she was proved her wrong. Actually, you proved her wrong. Second, when you offered her the price for my happy marriage and her love for your son, she rejected it. She told you she would neither take the price nor she would admit her love for him. You told her that she was so selfish to choose her family’s happiness over her love but she did so, because she was confident enough on her love. She thought if she can’t go to him, he will come to her. But again she was proved wrong. At last, when your son agreed for marriage she thought he still loved her but again she was proved wrong”, she said in a go.

She took a pause and continued-” You know what neither my sis is a saint nor your son. Both of them have committed three mistakes.

So to begin from your son-

1st He trusted you more than himself.

2nd He hated his mother more than anyone.

3rd He trusted you and hated his mother.

Now coming to my Di

1st She loved him.

2nd She loved him more than herself.

3rd She even loves him now even when he don’t care for her, he don’t want to see her face, he don’t want to hear her voice, he don’t want to hear her name from anyone, he don’t even want to have any memory with her, he don’t want her.” She said with her voice fading towards the end.

“But now what is the meaning of telling it to you all my Di left us, she left me, she left me, she left me forever, she left us fore…,” and she fainted. Before she could fall Pushkar caught her whose face was just in shock and tears threatened to fall out. Ramnath too rushed towards her. Leaving behind ‘him’. Leaving behind the untold mystery.
