Shrenu Parikh on Ghar Ek Mandir–Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki going off air

Shrenu Parikh recently wrapped up shooting for the show Ghar Ek Mandir–Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki. The actress is evidently disappointed about the show going off-air.

Shrenu who is currently in Chicago talked about it in a recent interview with BT and shared, “When we were told that the show will be going off-air and we would be shooting the last episode in a week’s time, I was a bit shocked because I expected the show to run for at least a year. However, having spent so many years in the TV industry, I know that this is part and parcel of the game and as actors, we are always prepared for such situations. While I feel sad because the team of the show has become like a family, the show must go on.”

Talking about the time she spent in Jaipur, the actress said, “Shrenu, who was in Jaipur for a few months where they shot for the show in a bio-bubble, shares, “Considering this was my first TV show in two years, I will always cherish the role of Genda. It was also my first show after recovering from COVID-19 and I will never forget the wonderful time we spent in Jaipur. It was a really refreshing experience.”

She added, “Professionally, I have never really planned my life. I am listening to a few scripts and will take up the first good project that comes my way-be it reality shows, web series, or fiction shows. However, given a choice, I would like to explore web shows more now. The last two web shows of mine did really well and it’s an exciting medium.” She adds, “I am an ardent fan of Bigg Boss, and almost every year, I get offers to participate in the show. However, at this point, I am not sure about whether I am prepared to take it up.”

Talking about her stay in Chicago, Shrenu said, “The actress says that while it’s quite cold in Chicago right now, she is enjoying her vacation. She shares, “I planned this trip as soon as I got to know about my show going off-air. The last nine months were really grueling because I was shooting almost every day and I wanted to take this break. When I landed in Chicago, it was minus 13 degrees and it is really cold here. So, we are mostly staying indoors. The fact that it was extremely cold in Jaipur while I was shooting there has helped a bit in adjusting to the situation and I am not complaining. I plan to stay here till March.” She adds, “I have been resting, doing household chores, and cooking Indian food for Shubham and his friends. It really feels therapeutic. Soon, we will plan a weekend trip to a nearby beach and I am eagerly looking forward to it.”
